My wife has had raised intra ocular pressure for some years now.
And has been taking Latanoprost for some years.
And this has succeeded in bringing the numbers down to Low.
However, it has made her eyelids droopy and her eyes very itchy and uncomfortable.
And once, her lower R eyelid inverted.
So, 'reading' up on the subject, I came across Mirtogenol which is claimed to lower eye pressure in glaucoma.
There has been some research done, which was supportive of the use of Mirtogenol.
Also, on Amazon USA, there are very many customer reviews saying that Mirtogenol, alone, has succeeded in bringing their eye pressure numbers down, without Latanoprost and without any side effects.
So, I'd love to know if anybody has tried this successfully for their Glaucoma?
It sounds as though your wife is experiencing side effects from the latanoprost so it is important that she reports this to her consultant asap so it can be addressed and they can prescribe her an alternative eye drop.
The company states Mirtogenol is a supplement that can be a preventative intervention for lowering the risk of developing glaucoma but not to treat someone who has already been diagnosed with glaucoma. If your wife still wants to go ahead and try it we strongly recommend that she uses it alongside her glaucoma drop and also discuss it with her consultant.
Have you seen the very many favourable reviews on amazon.com (usa) where many say that their Numbers have come down using just Mirtogenol, without any drops at all?
