latanoprost vs timolol
My 85 year old mother has been on latanoprost for 2 months. She developed a condition where her left eye now looks inwards towards her nose. It may be palsy of the sixth nerve. Has anyone else ever had similar symptoms? Also, is anyone having good results using timolol instead? Thank you for sharing

Hi there, I've been using fixapost eye drops for 2 days now and my eyes feel extremely gritty, dry and red. Is this likely to pass once my eyes adjust to the new drops? Ive also noticed the redness is even worse upon waking up in the morning/ after a nap/ Prior to this i had been on tiopex (timolol

Lowering eye pressure
Pre trabeculectomy I was on lantoprost for 3 months and it didn’t really lower my eye pressure and for the other eye I was on it for 6 months pre surgery. Tried fixapost and Timolol briefly before surgery and i don’t think it worked. My eye pressures have gone up and the consultant has put me on monopost

heartburn on Timolol drops?
I have narrow angles, pressure 15 and had Iridotomy a few weeks ago, I was given steroid drops after and on my follow up I now have high pressure 30 which I didn't have before so consultant thinks its the steroid drops. I've finished them now and she has prescribed Timolol drops for a short time to reduce

Dorzolomide/timolol switched from drop a bottle to single unit doses
In my repeat prescriptions, I have been switched from the 5ML dropper bottle to single unit doses. I wasn’t contacted by my GP first so I have no idea why, but because they’re single unit doses and I have to use it morning and night, effectively I have only been provided with half what I usually get

A few questions about being a. ‘Glaucoma suspect’
Hi, first post for me. I’ve been reading your messages since February and they have been very helpful so thank you all!! This is the rather longwinded background: My husband was picked up at a routine eye test as having some changes suggestive of glaucoma. He was seen pretty quickly (within 2-3 weeks

Supplements
I was diagnosed with glaucoma in jan this year and have since lost my driving license. That is what it is, I am now on latanoprost everyday and things seem to have settled where they are. I have been looking into the supplement and vitamin side of things just to see if there is any benefit to them. I

Sore dry eyes
Good morning folks. I’ve been switched from Latanoprost to Monopost drops for both eyes. Bilateral NTG. I was getting a lot of headaches, eye pain and swelling around my right eye and a duty A&E ophthalmologist suggested I could be reacting to the preservatives in the Latanoprost drops. I’ve been on

Vyzulta or Latanoprost?
I am about to need to purchase my first bottle of Vyzulta. My first two bottles were samples but I can’t get anymore for free. They brought the pressure in my bad eye from 31 to 20. I live in the US and with my medical plan, the first bottle will cost me about US$550. After that they will be about

NTG and thin corneas
Hi I was diagnosed with NTG in my left eye over 20 years ago. Since then my pressures have been stable with apparently no cause for concern. Last year I had a severe infection in both eyes which has increased the pressure in my left eye from 11 to 14. I didn't think that was too bad as it had been

Whose advice should I follow?
I had a trabeculectomy 18 months ago. Last July I went to a Moorfields virtual clinic for monitoring. I received a letter from the doctor a few days later to say that my visual field on the operated eye was gradually worsening & that I would be seen at the Consultant led clinic four months later. I

Anyone had a bad reaction to Bimatoprost ?
When I was first diagnosed with glaucoma I was given Latanoprost but had to stop using those due to extreme itchiness . I then moved on to using Bimatoprost , which at first seemed fine , no irritation . However , after a few weeks I began to feel very tired but blamed being hypothyroid even though

I have normal pressure open angle glaucoma. On diagnosis pressures were around 16 if I remember correctly. Damage seems to continue, I’ve been put on drops, first latanoprost, did nothing, then bitamoprost, which has reduced to 11/12. I’ve just had a cataract done on L eye and the specsavers follow

Eye drops
I have recently been diagnosed with suspected glaucoma. The consultant prescribed Latanoprost 50 microgram, one drop per day. I have the Thea Eyot eye drop dispenser, but whether I use that or not I have trouble getting the eye drop to land in the eyelid pocket as recommended. I wonder whether anyone

red inflamed area around my eye
hi there, I use Latanoprost and Dorzolamide eye drops following a closed angle glaucoma last year. Recently the area around my eye has become very red and inflamed and itchy. Has this happened to anyone else? My doctor gave me steroid cream which has helped a bit. Thanks

Drops affecting eyelashes
I'm 41, had a combined trab & lens replacement in right eye 2 years ago and just lens replacement in left eye a few months later. Now the only drops I take are Dorzolamide timolol in the left eye, twice a day.I switched to the preservative free drops a few months ago but I think it's negatively affecting
