Unfortunately my IOP (eye pressure) have started to increase so my Consultant has change my eye drops from Latanoprost (Monopost ) 1 drop daily to Dorzolamide/Timolol Cosopt 2 drops daily. Started using these but find when administering the drops it causes "stinging" for a short while which then causes my eyes to water. Anyone else had this problem ..... concerned that my watering eye will cause the drops to dilute.

Change in Eye Drops

Hi I take quite a few drops daily - Azarga (Brinzolamide / Timolol), Lumigan (Bimatoprost), Brimonidine and Dorzolamide. The only one that causes a stinging feeling in my eyes is the Dorzolamide drop. Not every time, but very frequently and tends to last for about 1 minute before easing off.
Hi
I've been on Cosopt for a long time and it does sting now. I'm sure it didn't at first.
It's been my routine to put Cosopt in first, before my other morning drops but I sometimes now put dry eye drops in, about 10 minutes before the Cosopt, which help.
Same here. My opthamologist added two drops/day of Cosopt to my usual Monoprost routine. It stings after 10s and the eyes get watery. What I noticed is once I've changed to preservative free Cosopt, it stings less, it's called Cosopt PF. Cospot in general dries the eyes, so it stings less in the morning when the eyes are rested, and more in the evening when they are a bit dry.
Make sure you get preservative free Cosopt or Dorzolamide. It may cost more but the BAK preservative is not good.
I have the same experience! Dislike them so much!
Cosopt (Dorzolamide/Timolol) does sting when first put in. It shouldn't cause any problems if your eyes water.
