struggling with Adenomyosis
My consultant was a BSGE endo specialist so I had high hopes but since I was diagnosed in November after my
laparoscopy
he discharged me. He’s told me my adeno isn’t responsible for my other symptoms other than my heavy painful periods.

return to running?
I had sudden onset PID in April and had a
laparoscopy
. After numerous scans and all the usual tests, I’m of the opinion that my copper IUD coil caused the disorder, it was not probably not fit for use beyond 5 years (i was told it was good for 10 years).

Prostap injection
Hey, my first post. I’m sorry to read so many people are struggling with pain. I had my first prostap injection just over a week ago and was wondering how long it takes to work. I’ve had some symptoms like head aches and woken the past 2 nights sweating, so something must be settling in. I’m due on

I am nervous because they don't know what it is for sure and one doctor said there is a chance they may have to remove the ovary and do a laparotomy instead of
laparoscopy
if they get in there and think it is malignant.

Merina coil removal
It was put in when I had the
laparoscopy
so was under GA. Smears are generally super painful with several attempts on different occasions and I'm worried that removing the coil will be the same. Has anyone else had the same problem? And is there any numbing preps that can make it easier?

findings from laproscopy
a year after finding an endometrioma I finally heard back for a date of surgery.i had my laproscopy on 7th September and they ended up making 4 incisions. I was toooo out of it and emotional when the surgeon came to the day ward and I couldn't understand what she was saying. She said she'd send me

Can’t just be me..?
My pain has been at its worse the last few days, I’ve got barely anything to take to try and help with it and I’m just on the waiting list for a diagnostic
laparoscopy
. I have adeno confirmed and suspected endo. It’s got so bad, hurts to breathe and pain is unreal.

I need answers - but what questions should I ask
I've not had any
laparoscopy
, hysteroscopy, hycosy, saline scan etc. There are just too many options and combinations of issues that I don't know where to start. Does my recent fet have anything to do with my first positive test? Were my hormones different due to the oestrogen and progestogen?

Expidited Surgery
Then after being admitted to in-patient wards twice during July and August, gynecology told me that they would expidite and bring forward my
laparoscopy
. They said this meant they put me on their "expidited list".

pain during sex, 2 months post op
hi all, quick q, I’m now nearly 2 months post op (
laparoscopy
for excision of endo tissue). I have been suffering with a worse version of my pre-op pain recently, and am down to see consultant. But, my partner and I tried sex for the first time since the op yesterday and i just could do it.

Severe endometriosis and IVF.
Hi everyone , Hope you are all doing ok. My consultant thinks another laparoscopic surgery before IVF will not improve outcomes. I am worried as my last successful IVF was 6months after excision surgery and my body was in the best condition it could be. Roll on 3 years and symptoms are increasing which

Burning pains
Hi everyone 👋 I had a
laparoscopy
last April and have recently had the Mirena coil removed. I’ve had burning pain in my left leg and under ribs. The same type of pain is also in my stomach and hips near my incision sites. These pains have increased a lot since I had the coil removed.

Cost of going private for a hysterectomy!!
Hi Everyone I’m currently on the waiting list for a total laparoscopic hysterectomy on the NHS but have seen a private consultant because I suspect the NHS waiting time is going to be really long and I haven’t been given a date yet although I am on Prostap injections in preparation, but as I’m constantly

Is this medical gaslighghting??
Hi ladies, So after my lap, i was told i have adenomyosis but to ignore my diagnosis. Apparently adenomyosis shouldn't cause daily pain, only pain around my period? I have flares most weeks!? This is what was written up! I mean, how can it look entirely normal but after my lap,i was told i

GnRH medication- any tips?
Hi everyone, Had my first lap last week (which was not as awful as I was expecting!). They operated to remove a 6cm endometrioma in my ovary and any other endo they found. Sadly it looks like my cyst had leaked recently and there was a lot of endo in there (disseminated intraperitoneal superficial

1 week post laparoscopy and the pelvic Pain is so bad!
The consultant did mention that the first period after a
laparoscopy
can be really painful. Is it normal to be in lots of pain a week after a
laparoscopy
and endo removal? I'm so worried that the mirena isn't right for me and that's what's causing the issues. Maybe I'm just over thinking it.

had surgery in March and no follow up appointment
I had surgery (
laparoscopy
) in March and was told my follow up appointment would be 6 months after. I just received an email saying that they don't have any appointments. Are they not obligated to give me a follow up appointment??
