Had my first lap last week (which was not as awful as I was expecting!). They operated to remove a 6cm endometrioma in my ovary and any other endo they found.
Sadly it looks like my cyst had leaked recently and there was a lot of endo in there (disseminated intraperitoneal superficial endometriosis according to my discharge letter), and they want to put me on GnRH medication to get it under control.
Does anyone have any experience of this they can share? Helpful rather than terrifying please (Sorry- my mental health is a bit fragile atm!). I’m prepared for the hot flushes and night sweats, any tips on dealing with this?
Thanks so much in advance!

Louisehart1995 that's great to hear that your first laparoscopy was not as awful as expected and that you are going onto follow up preventative treatment. I have also experienced this and the side effects, please do not worry. So it sounds easy:
Hot flush = fan yourself quickly, have a tissue/cloth to dab yourself
Night sweats = as above
Intense emotional rushes = acknowlege the feeling
Trouble sleeping = have an easy plan B i.e. good book, podcast, radio play, fave film you can just close your eyes too, fretting about not sleeping doesn't help you sleep
Mood swings = self regulate, is your response to a 'typical' situation different?
