left rib pains?
I went into hospital a few nights ago with horrible stabbing pains on my ribs (left side) i'd never felt that much pain ever in my life. At the hospital all my bloods/urine tests etc we're normal. They thought I might have kidney stones as my back was hurting too so they performed a scan but everything

Post-hysterectomy
Hi! I am 4 days post op following my hysterectomy - this was successfully carried out laparoscopicly and my tubes, uterus and cervix were taken. With the exception of one being adhered to something, my ovaries looked relatively healthy so I kept them. For anyone due to have a hysterectomy in the future

Hello my bothers and sisters. I wish I could say that this week has been better than last, but that would not be true. There have been some areas of encouragement but not many. As I have been writing these posts I have recognized that I haven't shared this level of detail with my family. I certainly

Positive A&E visit
Don’t really have a question but wanted to let everyone know of my positive trip to A&E. Saw GP on Monday as I had a headache for couple of weeks which had changed to awful pain over left eye and left side of face, which painkillers wouldn’t shift. No jaw pain but slightly blurred vision in left

Does anyone else just feel fobbed off all the time?
So I am having a really bad flare up - I am on day 5 and have just been in so much pain. I have been up to the doctors and hospital and sent home with codeine (which actually isn’t that helpful as it causes more issues) and I have been referred to the specialist which is about an 8 week wait. Any tips

Appointment with Rheumatologist and my falling!
Well, yesterday was my visit to the rheumatologist. But let’s go back to Friday when I rang the GP after seeing the pharmacist on Thursday. My right shin and left ankle, which were both badly bruised after a second fall in three weeks, had become swollen and yellow/white inside with what looked like

Metastatic prostate cancer chronic lower back and pelvic pain which gets much, much worse at night.
Hi everyone! I have metastatic prostate cancer which has got into my bones. I’m currently on Zoladex long term hormone therapy following a 10 month course of chemotherapy which was not that successful so we’re looking at other options. FYI I have noted quite a lot of muscle wastage as a result of long

Update
Hello all! I have read everyone’s wonderful messages - it’s been hard to get back. Ryan is okay. He started ipilimumab on November 23rd, 2021. Onco said we will not see fast results like some other drugs like Keytruda and Taf/Mek. A little nerve racking because of course time isn’t on our side. He has

My partner's story
Hello to everyone, I've been a silent member of this group for a few weeks and I have found your posts really helpful. I have decided that now is the time to share with you the story so far with my partner and his diagnosis of alcohol related liver disease. He's 43 years old and he's been a daily drinker

Worried
Hi So I found out on Thursday that my retina is detaching and I’ll go blind if they don’t operate as soon as possible. I’ve obviously said no because I was in shock and not able to process it all plus because I’m scared that I will react to painkillers as I usually do I also only have one adrenal gland
