Does anyone else just feel fobbed off all the time?

So I am having a really bad flare up - I am on day 5 and have just been in so much pain. I have been up to the doctors and hospital and sent home with codeine (which actually isn’t that helpful as it causes more issues) and I have been referred to the specialist which is about an 8 week wait. Any tips on pain management. I just feel so down I have just been fobbed off with pain killers since they found the endometriosis 3 years ago. Super upset today…

The answer to your question is yes! A lot of people on here feel fobbed off all the time.

There are other types of pain killers than codeine, such as NSAIDs. I was on diclofenac which I found quite effective. If can affect your stomach lining so they might prescribe it with something like lansoprazole as well. Ibuprofen is the same type of drug, but not as strong, and you can get it over the counter. These drugs work best if you start them a few days before your period so the effect builds up.

Definitely go back to the doctor and tell them if the codeine isn’t enough for the pain, and if it makes you constipated then ask for something for that.

I have been getting some relief from using a Tens machine as well.

Hope you feel better soon.
