Kyleena

Since having the Kyleena I am having intense pains that I can only liken to the contractions I had when I was on the synthetic drip to get me into labour. I am now wondering if perhaps the Kyleena is not for me, I am also bleeding every day.

He recommended trying Kyleena as this has a lower dose of hormone than Mirena. I'm not sure what to do. I know that progesterone only birth control effects me mentally but being in this much pain isn't sustainable.

I have inserted a spiral kyleena, since 2,5 years, as basically the only treatment available. The doctor told me that this would stop the spreading or at least hinder it, which I have learned now through research is not necessarily true.

I had my Kyleena coil removed on Tuesday when does the progesterone leave the body?

I had Kyleena fitted on 11/11/2020 and has relieved some endo symptoms as before I was constantly on my period heavy feeling faint a hell of a lot of pain could not go to work and more. Kyleena has helped my bleeding 3 months in as I get 18 days between periods.

My GP has suggested maybe the injection or the kyleena coil - any thoughts? Thanks

A bit of context, I am 26 and have had endo for about 18 months now -- It was really really horrible initially but I have the Kyleena coil now which has helped.

Anyone have any experience with the kyleena hormonal IUD?? seems to be making symptoms worse for me compared to the contraceptive pill taytulla that i used to be on. anyone else feel worse with IUD?

*have the kyleena IUD* was due for my period yesterday... two days ago had brown discharge that went away.. last night i thought i felt my period start i went to the bathroom and it was a lot of brown.. today had a little red but mostly brownish tan. i only need a pantyliner. is this normal to have spotting

-painful periods since the age of 13 - excessive bleeding -long period -occasional painful sex -constipation (diarrhea on actual period) -debilitating cramps started brith control & period got lighter & less painful got the kyleena IUD december 2019 and thats when more symptoms started.

fast forward to a year later, I had a serious boyfriend and kept forgetting to take my pill so december 2019 i decided to get the Kyleena IUD placed. I thought it would be great I wouldn’t have to worry about taking a little pill every day I was wrong!....

I had the kyleena coil fitted in August. Had pretty bad cramping for maybe 2 weeks after this and some spottting. I got my first period in over 10 months in September and it was heavy, horrendous and lasted for 2 and a bit weeks.

Had the Kyleena coil (less hormone than the mirena) fitted this week. Have had excruciating cramps ever since. Last night I also felt like my body was burning. Woke up this morning and I’m soaked through like I’ve been sweating profusely but there’s no heat on.

I also had the Kyleena coil fitted whilst I was under general anaesthetic. Since my op, the first couple of weeks were fine, then came my first period which was horrendous in terms of pain, worse than my endometriosis pain before.

I switched from Kyleena IUD to the birth control pill in July, and a week or so later my left breast became mildly tender.

A kyleena coil was inserted also. This was agreed in advance to help with very heavy and painful periods with a lot of midcycle pelvic pain. I was expecting a diagnosis of hyperplasia but that's unclear yet and will have to wait on biopsies.
