Hi all hope everyone is safe and well through this hard time. I had Kyleena fitted on 11/11/2020 and has relieved some endo symptoms as before I was constantly on my period heavy feeling faint a hell of a lot of pain could not go to work and more. Kyleena has helped my bleeding 3 months in as I get 18 days between periods. However, I really struggle holding a full bladder, a level of pain when urinating, a feeling of pain and pressure with a full bladder, sometimes blood in urine when on my period, and some awful ibs symptoms but can’t seem to rule out any foods that trigger. I still get a lot of cramps and leg pains with and without periods it feels more gyne than gastric and I can get a really horrible sharp pain in my rectum before a poo. I am waiting to have a scan in my bladder. I have a lot of extreme pms symptoms and struggle a lot Daily now battling ibs and really bad pms symptoms. Does this sound like endo? I had a clear transvaginal ultrasound and the doctors think I’m okay and need to calm down but I feel like there is something not right and it’s hard knowing what’s normal with Kyleena and without is hard. I had all the symptoms flare up 3 years into having nexplanon implant before Kyleena which I had fitted just in case it’s endo. Any advice would be great.

Many thanks and hope everyone is well

Annabel ☺️Xx

Hello I’m not familiar with Kyleena but wanted to comment on the doctors telling you are ok and you need to calm down. If they are saying that in a nice way and treating you I guess that’s ok. But I hope they aren’t saying it dismissively? We need to advocate for ourselves as some doctors will try to push you off especially if they don’t have the answers. Just want you to know you are not alone in your journey and if you feel something is off it probably is. Just a side note I was diagnosed with endo via robotic lap 7 years ago. I am not on any meds. I take ibuprofen and use heating pads. I get horrible leg pain in addition to sharp rectal and vaginal pain and abdominal pain. I also get diarrhea and nausea. This all lasts from the day before my period to about four days in. I can totally identify with the leg pain. I never knew it was endo until I was diagnosed but I’ve had it since age 14. Took 20 years for a diagnosis. I knew at 14 something was wrong but family and doctors blew me off, said it was just “girl problems”. It’s unfortunate how we can be not taken seriously. Definitely do not give up if you feel there is a problem. I wish you well
