Do You Know Your Pulse?
Your heartbeat is the most fundamental rhythm in your life, signalling the regular pumping of your heart as it propels blood carrying oxygen and nutrients to the rest of your body. We take the regular beating completely for granted, never giving it a second thought until the elegant control process

Spider Nevis, does anyone else have these?
Short story, hospitalised over a year ago with jaundice and ascites due to alcoholism, considered de compensated cirrhosis, original fibro scan read 22.2kpa, now it’s 9 and I’m considered to have fibrosis and not cirrhosis although my liver is obviously scarred and my doctor is quite honest when he said

Has anyone without PCOS been prescribed metformin and seen an improvement in egg quality in specific maturity/fertilisation rate. I’m going for my last private cycle of ivf in April after the last cycle (october) gave us 3 blasts, one fresh round failed as did a double frozen transfer. On review we

I’m seeing my transplant team for the first time on 9th Aug and apparently I think I’m boarderline if I need a transplant, so was wondering if this treatment would be better

The most embarrassing thing I’ve ever written. IVF side effect. Not content for young eyes!!! Would you tell your Dr this??
I am wondering if I am alone on this one as I imagine not many people would admit this. I know I’m cringing! I think I need to bring this up to my dr because I really do want ivf to work. After my first ivf transfer I had a sex dream where I orgasmed intensely, anyway I woke in the night feeling like

I have been missed diagnosed with liver disease for years I believe that I am still around because I do not drink and I am quite strict with my diet etc. I have also taken a lot of over the counter medication for liver disease. I believe that the disease has been caused by DILI / prescribed medication

Low AMH - what next?
Hi, I am currently awaiting investigations to see if we qualify for IVF on NHS. Our appointment is mid-Feb. I have taken an AMH test privately partially to put my mind at rest. They said the AMH had to be equal to or above 5.4pmol/L in order for us to qualify. My test has come back at 1.25pmol/L (0.18ng

support groups/meeting other people going through IVF
hello everyone, Hope you’re all doing well today. I just wondered if anyone had any ideas about support groups or meet ups in central or north London. I’m feeling quite alone and isolate just now. whilst this forum does really help, I’d love to meet some people going through this. I’ve got friends
