BH Lab Thyroid + 11 Results are back
I just got my results back from BH. I would appreciate if someone could help me make sense of them. So got my Vit D results back just now. It is apparently 'Adequate' which is better than I thought it might be! I've done some reading round on this site and elsewhere but am still not entirely clear. Should I supplement with extra D3 in the light of these results? I got my Calcium results yesterday which

Vitamin K2 - can soy affect thyroid meds?
I have a questions about Vitamin K (Mk-7 which is from soy). I have heard that those on thyroxine are supposed to avoid soy, as it affects the function of Levo - is that true - does anyone know or have experience of this? I want to take Vitamin D3 (I have osteoporosis), and have researched that it is

What dose of warfarin do you take and what is your INR range, also include estimation of amount of vit k you eat. Appreciated💙
I'm still trying to get this right.... I take 12.5mg of warfarin daily. My doctor wants my INR range to be between 2-3. I eat approximately 20-30 mcg of vit k daily. Problem is when I test and it is 2.2 or less he wants to change my warfarin dose. I am due to have a bone density that is probably going

Is this as good as it gets?
Hello all, thank you for allowing me to join your little group. I've been reading past posts and I'm wondering if you all can give me some insight. Although I have had positive blood work for ACL since 2012, I was just diagnosed with APS following a TIA in April. Prior to that, I had only had non-diagnostic

POST STROKE AF
I am new to this site and find it very informative and reassuring I started getting a rapid heartbeat about 5/6 years ago. This began when my mother was diagnosed with cancer. Eventually I was referred to a cardiologist. An ECG revealed nothing. I then had a 24hour/7 day monitor. This revealed paroxysmal

Warfarin - A new post inspired by "Confused" post by Squady
I felt that my comments to Squady's post should be in a new post as the thread was getting rather long. The post by Squady and the thread of comments that this inspired just emphasises how careful everyone should be about their Warfarin dosage. To take the advice of anyone other than a doctor is very

Ketogenic Diet lowers v.l.
I was sent a link to this which is about GS-5816 (Velpatasvir) treatment but also has an interesting observation about the impact of the ketogenic diet on viral load levels. hopefulgeranium.blogspot.com.au/2014/03/...se-iii-trial-of.html There is more about it here: hopefulgeranium.blogspot.com.au

Vit D, Vit K and warfarin
I am writing on behalf of my cousin, who is hypo and on NDT. She is taking Vit D3 and Vit K2 but is concerned as she is now also on blood thinners from her GP, following a kind of mini stroke. Is there anyone who can please advise about different types of Vit K and whether there is one that is compatable

My warfarin challenge, please help!
My dilemma is I since being on warfarin/ Coumadin I have been monitoring the vit k content of each morsel of food I put in my mouth. I suffer from OCD. My Dr had told me to watch all green vegetables and anything containing vit k. I now realize this was a mistake for I took it to the extreme. I would
