Jaundice eyes

My partner has cirrhosis fibroscan 75kpa and capscore 310. Which I realise are on the high end of things. He has varices and is on betablockers. He has no ascites but his legs are swelled and itchy. His eyes are becoming more and more yellow almost orange in the corners. I don't know weather that

SLE & Jaundice Advice

To manage his Lupus he was given Azathioprine (normally on Pred & HCX) to which he had a side effect and ended up in hospital with Jaundice for atleast a month this year.

Tuesday's Tip

It has been used for years in newborns to help break down neonatal jaundice. It's thought to break down the jaundice pigment in the skin. The trick is the decide how much sunlight or light therapy should be used as it can obviously make some more prone to skin cancer.

Seems like the jaundice is going away. I was scared out of my mind that we would be talking transplants but that doesn’t seem on the cards for now.

My son is 6 months last week, he had biliary atresia and they did the kasai at 5 weeks, the jaundice is still there, how long does it take to clear? Also he was diagnosed with Cirrhosis of the liver. We start solids this week. The stool has changed to yellow now but sometimes it's oily.

No jaundice or other liver related symptoms. I’m not overweight but have high cholesterol, despite eating healthily.. I don’t drink, other than an occasional glass of fizz at Christmas or birthdays. Am I alone in this?

The dr said my levels aren't high enough to cause jaundice but my eyes are definitely a little bit yellow? In certain lights they aren't but say I take a photo on my camera with flash on it darkens them a bit and they are yellow if that makes any sense! Xxx

hydrocephalus and portal vein hypertension

In 2022 he had jaundice and splenomegaly. Got his spleen removed. He has gall stones which makes his condition even worse. After splenectomy he hadn't faced any health issues. It's been a year after the surgery. Nowadays he is not getting enough sleep.

I also had jaundice when I was around 5 which was viral but I was told this doesn't damage liver long term. I don't know whether my liver is causing any pain as I have IBS and acid reflux as well so has anyone been told that it can cause stomach pain. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

Exercise

I came out of hospital about a month ago, from Ascites, jaundice and pneumonia. I am extremely upset by this and very scared. I have completely stopped drinking since my time in hospital. I could barely walk after leaving hospital, the muscle wastage combined with bed stay.

HSV-1 Hepatitis

I still have jaundice. My Bilirubin is still sitting at 300+ umol/L (highest while in hospital was 800+). I still feel nauseous. My urine is still very dark & poop very pale. I am exhausted. I have read a few American articles that have noted Herpes Simplex Virus type 1 causing Hepatitis.
