I was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis sept 23 and have stopped drinking and managing my diet as best I . I have suffered with accute peripheral neuropathy quite bad losing lots of use in my hands and severe pins and needles in both hand and feed and loss of strength in my leg muscles along with itching. New drug seems to be helping well so hopefully over worst of that. Still jaundice according to blood tests.

good for you. Stopping drinking is the best start. I was diagnosed three months ago and am three months sober. It wasn't that difficult for me to stop drinking even though it was a big part of my life for the last 25 years. Just stay positive, eat well and exercise. Trust in god. Wishing you the best.
You have my deepest sympathy regarding the neuropathy, I was a chronic drinker myself, I'm sober for over 12+ years and I've still got it!!!I'm unsure if it has gotten better because I've got b12 deficiency, and this also has the same symptoms along with other symptoms, been on long term medication and I don't feel any better as such, I don't think it's ever goes away and causes depression on occasions, the pains are described in different ways as it comes in many guises, and we all describe pains in different ways, pins and needles, hot, puffy, burning pains, the list is endless.
I was told if ever started drinking again the pains would be even worse, I don't even want to go their with that, I'm happy drinking tea, a nice cup or mug of coffee , Coca-Cola, sparkling water or blackcurrant juice with soda water, well I hope things improve best of luck!
