5 mg Folic Acid supplement during early pregnancy
Hi dear
ivf
warriors, I have been taking 5 my folic acid a day months prior to my last cycle. I am now pregnant (still early days) and continue taking 5 mg in addition to multi vitamins. NHS do not advise 5 mg unless you know of specific risks / predispositions.

First round medication coming, what else do I need?
I’m about to start my very first
IVF
round, and just had our prescription through for the EC drugs / injections. I’m so excited & so fearful in equal measure! Have our nurse consult on Weds then likely start injections on Sunday/Monday. So my question is, what else do I need?

Egg banks for anonymous eggs
We have been waiting for the egg retrieval of the second
IVF
cycle. Today's echo showed that we might cancel the cycle because I only have two follicles. It will be decided on Friday, but I don't think we have any chance to continue.

6w+4 twins scan. Baby A- all good. Baby B- sac but nothing in it
I did
IVF
. I’m grateful for one either way but have been having a feeling of loss, grieving all day. Don’t know if i should just move on or pray and fight for B. Doctor says to do another 2 week scan. Thoughts? Thanks

Do we no longer have male factor?!
Could we technically go for
ivf
now instead of icsi?! Has anyone experienced normal analysis but high fragmentation I wonder? I am pleased but confused. As this is a big change since the last one.

return of period after IVF
hi there, I wonder if anyone can help please. We did our first fresh embryo transfer at the end of November and I came on my period in the 2ww. I was told to wait for my next period then we can go ahead with a FET- my period was due last Tuesday and still no sign of it. I’m experiencing a lot of discharge

Private IVF Assessment - Worried about results
I was already concerned they may not offer me
IVF
because of my ovaries. I am now even more worried after being told this! I am getting the results and a consultation next Friday. I was hoping to do at least 1 round of
IVF
before getting surgery.

Confused
Also on a waiting list for
IVF
on the NHS. The NHS are very much pushing me down the hsg/laparoscopy route but I decided to see a private gynaecologist yesterday and he basically said what's the point in hsg/lap if you're having
ivf
.

IVF Buddy
We have just started our sixth
IVF
cycle for baby number 2, anyone else just started a cycle and would like to buddy up as a source of support? This will be our last cycle as I am 43 now so chances of success are limited, along with having experienced multiple miscarriages.

OTD - BFN
I wish my
IVF
story for a sibling could have turned out differently. Last embryo, last chance and then against all odds - a BFP. But sadly, I have no inspirational
IVF
fairy tale here. I know that age is a number and so many women have had successful rounds at a later age than me.

Irregular periods a month after IVF egg collection
The moment I started
IVF
, I'm now experiencing issues with my cycle which is concerning me. I'm now worried that
IVF
has done damage to my hormones.

Recommendations for IVF for over 40s in the UK or abroad
Hello, Can someone recommend
IVF
clinics for over 40s either in the UK or abroad? In the UK I am looking at CARE vs CREATIVE, any advice on these? Were they successful? Abroad I’m considering Spain, Greece or Czech Republic, any recommendations, please? Please PM me with your feedback.

CoQ10
I started 600mg of CoQ10 in November - I know eggs are created 3 months before they are released so it's unlikely that my January
IVF
cycle seen any benefit of the supplement. I take 2 x 300mg with my dinner.
