Is this a "normal" reaction to NDT?
I supplement with
iron
, folate, B12, D, etc and test my levels regularly. I take it at least 4 hrs away from the meds. Thank you for your input.

Confused
A few weeks earlier he put me on
Iron
pills as I have been Anemic for some time, they have made no difference seemingly. It is worth noting that three years ago I came out of NHS control, and saw my private Haemotologist.

Low iron
I’ve been struggling with my RLS more than usual lately and asked my doctor to test my
iron
levels. They came back low 5. I take ferrous fumarate as I have anemia but the Dr has prescribed ferrous sulfate as well is it okay to take both?

Asking for support following GP 'Results Normal' response
Yesterday I sent in a two page letter to the GP putting in all my recent results (posted elsewhere) and asking them to look at my folate, B12,
Iron
panel and consider increasing my levo to 100mcg. I detailed my symptoms and background.

usual dose of gabapentin not enough
I am (as I have always been) splitting the dose into two, taking gentle
iron
every other night, doing evening stretches, and watching triggers.

Understanding a LIVER MRI report regarding IRON (or not)
It said moderate to acute NASH 19% fraction etc, but said nothing abt
IRON
. I noted the script from GP said "reason for MRI=elevated liver enzymes" wish it also said High ferritin (4 x over 800) and suspected
iron
overload.

Periods started back up again.
My
iron
dipped so low which I suppose is normal as its first period. Has anyone else had this before?

feeling overwhelmed
hey all I’ve been underactive for quite a while now and on 50 Levo a day for a long time, in that time I’ve been told I’m b12 deficient low
iron
the lot but I can’t help but think it’s actually all down to my thyroid?

Ferrittin level (Different Opinions)
He agreed that I should take an
iron
supplement and would include this in a letter to my GP along with the MPN results. For the las couple of weeks I have been taking 100mg Gabapentin at 6pm.

Low Energy
hey all, I completed my C25K last October and felt great 😊 however, it was short lived as in December, I found my
iron
levels were very low and so made it impossible for me to run, my
iron
levels are now back to a normal level so rather than diving back in to a 30 min run, I have started the C25K again

Low ferritin
I have just had an
iron
profile done by my doctor and my serum ferritin has come back at 32 (30-148). She has said no further action is required as within lab range, but this is obviously very low. Can anyone recommend a good supplement please as I am feeling a bit tired and washed out?

Coming off HRT patches
Having had no sense from GP's I took my health into my own hands and started my own regime of supplements, including
iron
, as I discovered my ferritin had been low for all the time I was symptomatic (~ 6 years).

⁸Low Haemoglobin
I have been more focused on an
iron
rich diet over last 3 weeks plus better dietary consciousness. My question after reading lots of posts... various people have had low haemoglobin and gone through the barrage of tests only to find the results inconclusive.

What level should CA125 be after total hysterectomy & bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy?
However, both my
iron
levels and B12 are abnormally high and my thyroid levels (hypothyroid)are also out of whack again. The GP has stated categorically that it is impossible for someone to get ovarian cancer if you have had both your ovaries removed and a total hysterectomy.

Timing your tea/coffee (even decaff) for best iron absorption from diet and supplements
Coffee with a hamburger meal found to reduce
iron
absorption from that meal by 39% and tea by 64% Having coffee one hour before a meal, no effect on absorption of food

. Having coffee 1 hour after a meal had the same impact on absorption as having it during the meal.
