Burning mouth syndrome
I had a heart attack 2021 and have been suffering from this for 3 months now, it is very frustrating, been to ENT who were no help, been tested for B12/folic acid /
iron
, there's plenty of articles online saying what could be a cause, including some blood pressure tablets but no advice how to help/cure

Understanding a LIVER MRI report regarding IRON (or not)
It said moderate to acute NASH 19% fraction etc, but said nothing abt
IRON
. I noted the script from GP said "reason for MRI=elevated liver enzymes" wish it also said High ferritin (4 x over 800) and suspected
iron
overload.

Urgent help needed. Extremely severe RLS, cannot identify cause.
Did every possible test related to RLS (
iron
, vitamin D, etc) except for for transferrin saturation and serum
iron
because it wasn't available in the labs in my area. I live in a really rural area and the nearby labs do not offer these tests. The results themselves are good/within range.

High platelet count due to iron deficiency anaemia maybe?
Just again when I thought all was going well ! High platelet count from recent blood test shows Platelet count 515 10*9/L Platelet count has been abnormal for some time, but never this high. Not sure whether I should request the ferrous sulphate again, OR could it be PMR flare. I have felt pretty

No
iron
supplements. But taking methylfolate and methylb12 plus methyl b complex. And the question is - do these bloods suggest a need for t3. Or do I persevere with t4 only and try to increase again to 125? A bit of a round- a -bout text but I’d really appreciate any feedback.

Can you combine levo and NDT?
(I supplement with
iron
, folate, B12, D, etc and monitor my levels, so it's not that side of things.) So I was thinking: could I reduce levo to 50 mcg and add 25 mcg of NDT by taking 1/4 a grain? Has a combo of more T4 and less NDT worked for anyone and can it help?

My thyroid and iron panel results for interpretation please
Panel - can someome help with this? I haven't been supplementing
iron
, and don't have the Haemochromatosis gene.I've joined the PA group and will post my results and ask there too. Transferrin saturation is above top of range - is this important?

Help with latest blood results.
There was one occasion where I was showing as being slightly anemic and I was given a course of
iron
pills which bought my bloods back within range but did not make any difference what so ever to how unwell I feel.

Testing T3
GP refused point blank to test for
iron
/ferritin/vits, but did want to follow up with testing for diabetes. I dont have diabetes. So lets test for something you dont have, but not test for something you do have. I am sure it makes sense somewhere....

Low Energy
hey all, I completed my C25K last October and felt great 😊 however, it was short lived as in December, I found my
iron
levels were very low and so made it impossible for me to run, my
iron
levels are now back to a normal level so rather than diving back in to a 30 min run, I have started the C25K again

Timing your tea/coffee (even decaff) for best iron absorption from diet and supplements
Coffee with a hamburger meal found to reduce
iron
absorption from that meal by 39% and tea by 64% Having coffee one hour before a meal, no effect on absorption of food
iron
. Having coffee 1 hour after a meal had the same impact on absorption as having it during the meal.
