iron tests
Do you need to fast before
iron
tests? Would I be better waiting an extra week to have the test as I only had my ferritin tested on the 8th May?

Rheumatologist appointment at last!
In the meantime, after my Aussie holiday I had a flare when I tried to taper, so it's back to go slow, my markers were normal except for the
iron
I think he said which indicates inflamation.

Be Aware To Beware.....FYI
For example,
iron
supplements may decrease the absorption of levodopa and these medications should be spaced as far as possible.

Results Advice
last dose which was 100mg of levothyroxine and 15mg of liothyronine ,split into 5mg doses throughout the day,I’m waking at 4am in the morning and can’t get back to sleep which is driving me crazy😤 My ferritin has gone down again so I’m going to start taking a vitamin c to see if that will help with

'Malabsorption' - what do doctors mean exactly?
Hello, When reading about causes of deficiences such as
iron
, folate, B12 etc. the medical information (from whichever source) lists the causes and malabsorption is always one of them.

Iron Infusions for RLS
Another research paper showing
iron
infusions of Ferric Carboxymaltose improves RLS. We now have the uphill battle of convincing our GPs and neurologists.

My
iron
& vitamin levels are all ‘normal’ except for D3 which is now high (102 nmol/L) However, folate (10.6 Ug/L) & Vit B12 (62 pmol/L) are lower than they were in March.

What should I ask for (maybe include
iron
) ie the correct description of the tests. I have hypothyroidism and undiagnosed PA, I SI EOD and my doctor knows this and has no problems with it.
