Feeling poorly
I also have an
iron
panel kit which I will also do. I have been slowly increasing from 50mcgs to 75mcgs, and past 2 weeks taking 75mcgs everyday. Without the knowledge of my GP at this point.

Restless Legs Syndrome
My ferritin level got too high last year so no longer on
iron
supplements. Wondering how successful ALA is and if it is what dose and what time to take it. Thanks in advance

I think I have endometriosis
So currently I have been prescribed Ferrous Fumerate again as my
Iron
count has depleted again, furthermore I have been taking the combined pill for 9 weeks. Anyways my GP did mention that from what I have described I may have Endo but that she doesn't want to jump to that straight away.

underactive thyroid
hi there I’ve had an under active thyroid for 8 years and recently gained weight and losing
iron
. My doctor has said my neck thyroid reading is ok but my “brain reading is slower” Does this make sense to anyone?

The most common failures in relation to the treatment of RLS, from my experience:
Measuring blood
iron
levels is not sufficiently sensitive for RLS. It must be serum ferritin which is the protein that transports the
iron
around the blood.

How fast is brain iron deficiency restored after IV iron?
In the past when I got
iron
IV 2 years ago it helped a lot with the pain, but RLS never stopped, I take pregabalin and tramadol, still painful🥲

vitamin results and advice on tweaking or changing supplements
This was when I added the folate back in and increased
iron
rich foods, don’t think there’s much wiggle room for more. What else can I do to get this to nearer to ‘ideal’ ?

Confusing iron panel results
What is this supposed to mean and do I need to supplement with
iron
? I have been taking betaine HCL for 45-50 days now (1 capsule with breakfast, lunch and supper) and I think that may be this is why my
iron
levels are this high in range, so maybe my ferritin hasn't caught up to them yet?

Confused about latest blood tests - why are FT4 and FT3 rising, but I still feel awful and I'm undiagnosed and not on any meds?
I'm not on any meds) and my
iron
(which has somehow always been excellent in the past) appears to have gone down quite a lot.

High neutrophil count😱
My wife's last blood test showed her platelets were up at @800 And her neutrophil count at over 70, her Hgb was 116, hematocrit was 0.38 which is high for her, but as it was only three weeks since she had three units of packed red cells and a bag of
iron
, that was expected.

Thyroid test results - any thoughts please?
4.38 pmol/l (3.1 - 6.8 optimal) (3.71) Other tests:
Vitamin D
- 91 nmol/l (50 - 375 Optimal) (18, was deficient and took loading dose)
Folic Acid
- 32.2 μg/l (3.8 - 26.8 Optimal) (25.9) (recent test suggested this was high and could indicate pernicious anemia)

Supplement schedule query - which should be taken apart from others?
I've always had low ferritin and months ago started Simply Heme
iron
supplements, which are supposed to be easier to absorb, and blocked only by calcium. I'm now wondering if anyone can advise on my current supplement schedule, in case any of them are blocking absorption of any others?!

follow up to previous post. Help please.
GP said he had done FT3/FT4 but he hadn’t so we requested GP to do FT3/FT4 which is below and full
iron
panel. Taken 15/1/24. she takes 175mcg Levo liquid daily. Done tests early morning empty stomach. Over the years I’ve noticed the TSH has improved and this is the lowest it’s ever been.

Medichecks bloods with some very low/high bloods. Appt with GP 4th March to discuss.
Putting this up here as we have an appointment with the GP to discuss these results and I want to push perhaps to 112.5 or 125 mcg Levo, Vitamin D,
Iron
etc. Helen is classed as vulnerable to Covid and is also taking OTC Zinc and Selenium.

Would taking a daily vitamin with 8 MG of Iron be harmful?
Hello, I have moderate fatty liver disease and I have been told that I also have low
iron
. I was already questioning whether I should take a multivitamin or not. Now I don't know if I should take one with a little
iron
in it. Thoughts?
