My response to the AASM Guidelines For RLS
It mentions constipation with
iron
but doesn't mention
iron
bisglycinate which largely overcomes this. It should also mention that it the elemental
iron
in the product that matters.

I’m guessing by looking at the above I may need to supplement
iron
and folate as they are normal range but low? Do you think that should likely be my next steps?

Iron levels update & advice
Looking at my other
iron
markers (which I don't fully understand) would advice be to stop all together for 8 -10 weeks and test again? Or continue taking 1 every other day .. dont want them to plummet again but is it a case of trial and error? Thank you in advance!

GP appointment went well!
latest blood results… vitamin D was at 174 and ferritin at 43.5 ug/L (20.0 - 130.0) My GP was not concerned about my vitamin D level and said resume at whatever I am taking as it’s not a toxic level 🤷🏻♀️ The ferritin level however he agreed is in range but quite low so has agreed to do a full

Help with blood test results and symptoms please
I am gluten- free and have been taking Vitamin D3 and
iron
/ B vitamins for the last few weeks. I stopped my
iron
/b vitamins a week before my blood tests, which were taken at 8.30am after fasting. I am not taking levothyroxine or other thyroid medication.

Malabsorption of drugs?
My stomach pH level was recently 8.1, so very low stomach acid, which is why I am not absorbing/processing B12,
iron
and folate. I also did a test which showed I have very low diamine oxidase in my gut so have histamine intolerance. My question is regarding my medication.

Iron blood tests results
Does anyone know if this blood result shows low
iron
? I got my results back and it says normal but looking online it says it’s in the lower range. I’ve added the results in photo. Thank you in advance.

An Enlightening Endocrine Adventure
Good for me, but I'm anemic and do not have
iron
deficiency. The full
iron
panel came out middle of range in all the measures. The endocrinologist is passing me off to a hematologist, as though there's nothing else endocrine that could be producing the undesired effects.

NAC with ferritin deficiency or PA
Just thought I’d pop in and ask my new friends if they know of any reason NAC shouldn’t be taken with
iron
tablets or B12, or whether NAC could actually have a negative effect on ferritin/B12 levels.

INVOLVEMENT OPPORTUNITY - Haemochromatosis Research Project (UK)
This is especially a problem in men; the risks are thought to be less in women due to protection of
iron
-overload by menstrual blood loss. HH is easy to diagnose with a simple blood test and can be safely treated by the removal of blood to lower
iron
levels.
