update on pramipexole withdrawal.

well started on Gabapentin at 300 mg for a few days and had slight dizziness both couple hours after taking it and for about an hour in the morning. Nithing like the brain fog and dizziness I have had theough a traumatic brain injury so handled it fine. Added every few days another 100mg. Have been taking an iron supplement starting several weeks earlier. After three weeks on gabapentin I am now at 600mg daily and omg the sleep I am getting is amazing. I have reduced the pramipexole down from 3 x 0.25 mg a day to now taking half ,o.124 once in the afternoon, and just reduced again by another 1/4 of the dose early evening so total reduction of 3/4 of the daily dose so far. Still get RLS during the day but it clears quite often so not so persistent, which is a big change and interesting to experience. Had one really rough day. The Rls kicked in and could not get it controlled. Kept to the lower dose of pramipexole and just accepted I would not be sleeping that night. The workshop is super tidy now lol.Am aiming to add gabapentin today by taking 100 mg two hours before the 600mg dose. So far this has all been very manageable. I think the iron supplement is kicking in and helping reduce the rls, so making my withdrawal a little easier. If it gets bad I scroll through this site and take heart that I am doing well and heading in a healthier direction. Jut thought to update folks on how it is going and maybe help others see there is light at the end of a cery very dark tunnel.

That's brilliant news. Stay strong and you will soon be off Pramipexole and your dopamine receptors will have chance to settle and,hopefully, repair.
