PERIODIC LIMB MOVEMENT DISORDER
I have not shared for a while. I would like to report that I have been taking the iron supplement every other day with orange juice. Also am taking 300 Gabapentin. I did a sleep study last year and it showed that the PLMD is not disturbing my sleep as it is now at a moderate amount. The sleep study

Happy 4th of July fellow US Americans, and Good Day to my friends elsewhere in the world! I have questions for all:
Refresher: I have b12D Pernicious Anemia with autoimmune metaplasia atrophic gastritis. Recently diagnosed with deficiencies in zinc and copper as well and am taking supplements until in the normal range. B12 sublinguals have worked for me for a 3 years, but I have been taking much more just recently

Hello! Sorry - had to delete and repost... I posted here in Feb 22 about a big TSH change I experienced - at my annual thyroid level check, my TSH result rose from 0.01 to 8.25 whilst I was on my usual dose of 100mcg Levothyroxine. My GP raised Levo to 125 mcg and for months it seemed okay, TSH went

Muscle problems
I tweaked a muscle some weeks back and it seems to be taking ages to repair. So, as wondered if either PMR or pred could be slowing the healing, I looked on line and came across an article that I found really sensible - follows so much of the guidance offered on this forum. https://bpac.org.nz/bpj/2013

Conversion issues or adrenals.
I just received my blood results and I would like opinions of others. Since 1,5 year I am on 75mcg levo and about 3mcg of Cytomel. When i first added Cytomel I felt great, but since a few months I am in a stressful situation at home and I started gaining a lot of weight, eventhough i eat very healthy

Recovery from AV Fistula Surgery
Day 3 of Recovery from the AV Fistula Surgery You don’t know what you have until it is gone. Only having one arm is a real challenge. The next day, the block that was put in was still there, but much less. I had tingles in my hand and I could bend it and pickup things, if they were light. It is amazing

Medichecks Ferritin same sample, two different results
Another query! My daughter and I both took Medichecks Iron Panel and Advanced Thyroid finger prick tests recently. The two tests used blood from the same time of taking (within a few minutes). So we both got Ferritin results back, one in the Advanced Thyroid and one in the Iron Panel. For both of

My Efforts to Educate the Scientific Community

The other B vitamins
Hello, I've just read that B6 deficiency can cause pins and beedles and possibly other symptoms similar to B12 deficiency. It's made me wonder about the need to test for other B vits besides Folate and B12. So far my daughter and I have tested B12, Folate, Vit D, Iron Panel, Thyroid antibodies, CRP

Newly diagnosed hypothyroidism- struggling
Hi all, I am new to this, but I am getting so much different 'advice' from Dr's and Internet. I thought I would reach out to the people who know best. I am newly diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. Approx 5-6 weeks ago. Currently on 50mg of Levothyroxine. Follow up blood test due next week. It's all completely

Update again again again!
Hi All, I have to say I am feeling MUCH better, and I feel we are getting somewhere now! I have ME and Fibro and was going into a flare so the CRP was raised a little. I don't have any vitamins as this was an NHS test, however, I am keeping my finger crossed that we are also getting somewhere on that
