Breakfast . . . The Most Important Meal of the Day
I have the same thing every day for breakfast . . . a small bowl of steel cut oatmeal with lots of walnuts and 3-6 raspberries, depending on size. I use 2 oz of dry oatmeal plus 3.2 oz of water and cooked until it's dry. This is consistent with my standard diet that has slowed my cancer progression

I bought a blood sugar monitor, might I have
insulin
resistance
? My blood sugar never went below 5.3 in the morning, before eating or drinking. I only ever reached a high of 9. I talked to my brother about it, the consensous of opinion was that if anything I had low blood sugar.

Prostate Cancer Diet Update
Another PSA reading appears to show that cancer growth continues to be contained using diet and moderate exercise. PSA's in 2019 are 0.442, 0.435, 0.416, 0.427, 0.424, 0.431 and 0.415, this November. These results come from a diet that minimizes insulin response and contains very little iron. The

Reducing T3 are these results normal?
I have been taking T3 since the beginning of the year and was doing great but my insulin sensitivity went downhill badly and I realised it coincided with being on T3 (which other people have experienced) . Due to other dietary and health changes I was hopeful I could get my thyroid to function again

Inulin - may help sleep and constipation
My daughter recently bought me some inulin to try as she had heard it can help you sleep. I can't honestly say it helped me sleep at the time, but a side effect is that it is helpful with bowel movements!! More recently I took some on holiday with me - for my bowels, and this time I do think it helped

Diabetes 2 or just insulin resistance...?
Does this mean that I have not yet developed full-blown diabetes 2, but "only" have
insulin
resistance
? Or how were you diagnosed with diabetes 2? Based on those labs, my doctor put me on Victoza.

How should you break your fast?
There are about as many different strategies for breaking a fast as there are for fasting. Carbohydrate spikes blood glucose, which spikes insulin, which rapidly brings down your blood glucose - making you hungry. I do not need to be on a keto or very low carb diet, and my regular daily carb breakfast

Sudden drop in libido and sexual function (male) in late 30s
This started about 9-12 months ago, but I'm unsure if it is just a natural consequence of ageing or if it is due to a medical/psychological problem that needs the attention of a GP. It started when I was 38 and seems to have been getting worse during the course of this year. I started noticing it becoming

Reduce risk of type 2 diabetes with this simple diet plan
Choosing an adequate diet to prevent and control diabetes can be very hard to find. There are many diet plans which have proven to be non-beneficial. After the use of many drugs, patients are not relieved. The secretion of insulin, which is a need in diabetes treatment by the Pancreas, shuts down.
