Thrush from Steroid Inhalers
Hi, I’ve recently been moved over to the MART regime and I’m using the fostair powder inhaler. I always rinse with water after I use the inhaler but I still have a bad case of thrush on my tongue, which has a white coating and it causing loss of taste. I went to the pharmacy and have been given daktarin

Missing inhaler
I saw a practice nurse yesterday for my asthma and diabetes checks. She's referring me to the diabetes education course. She also said that she would find out why I've only got 1 inhaler, which is my blue reliever inhaler. She said that she going to ask if I can have a steroid inhaler, but I don't know

methadone and shortness of breath
Hi all, Apologize in advance for length of this post. I've had RLS for since my early 40s and spent about 14 years on DA drugs. A not unusual story with augmentation and switching over to pregabalin about 3 years ago- but the pregabalin not being entirely effective for symptoms. At that time I was

Told fibro but wasnt
What worries me is that none of the doctors thought about what was causing my so called asthma and other symptoms and would just tell me to use asthma
inhalers
, take painkillers for all of the aches and pains or pace myself if I get worn out quickly etc. Just accept it.

Is my FOSTAIR NEXThaler working correctly?
I have just taken receipt of my first FOSTAIR NEXThaler, and I’m concerned that I’m either not doing something correctly, or the inhaler is faulty? (OR it may be absolutely fine! 😃). When I breathe in deeply, I get the click and also a ‘spattering’ of tiny hard balls sprayed around my mouth, that I

Respiratory Consultant wants me to come off asthma meds!
The CT scan 7 years ago showed thickening of airways, consistent with asthma - when we have reduced my
inhalers
, my symptoms worsen, chest tightness, increased coughing, breathlessness and wheezing - I can’t understand where he’s coming from!

Mast Cell NHS Consultants?
I have been on montelukast for about six months as I was having bad reactions to most of the
inhalers
I was trying, and whilst it has helped somewhat with the asthma and reduced the reactions I have to my cat (usually my eyes swell up and itch until I can hardly see!)

Steroid card Question
My combination inhaler is fostair 200/6 2 puffs twice a day. I carry a steroid card because I take this inhaler. However when I asked for another steroid card to put with my ventolin from the pharmacy yesterday, the pharmacist told me I don't need one. I am confused as I was told by asthma UK

Spirometry results good
Doctors have given me highest dose antihistamines, upped
inhalers
over the years, given steroids and nothing has helped. The Spirometry results were as follows: FEV1 - 3.43 - 99% FVC - 4.11 - 99% RATIO - 83% PEAK FLOW -9.31 - 129% From these results being good? I think?

Recently diagnosed with COPD
Just recently diagnosed with COPD after being treated for Asthma, diagnosed just before the pandemic. The diagnosis was as a result of spirometry test. I have not seen a specialist. I am on a daily inhaler. Reduced my chocolate and dairy intake. Looking forward to receiving advice and sharing experiences

Been asthmatic since 20years at least but hardly used my
inhalers
but lately I need to. At my asthma review I mention this about palpations so after a discussion tried flixotide 125 this was ok but developed bad pain in head not a headache as such so stopped it.

burning sensation in lungs post asthma flair?
Hey all, Wondering if anyone has experienced lung burning feeling post asthma flair (I just finished a 1 week course of pred 50mg). My PEFs have come back up + I'm no longer coughy (I also don't typically wheeze), I just have this burning feeling in my chest intermittently. It's feels almost like a
