Not doing so well
Have just had follow up appointment with asthma nurse following a and e visit yesterday. I now have another ten day course of pred. Doubled the strength of the combined inhaler. Also added in montelukast. She’s calling back Friday to check how things are going. This is the worst my asthma has

Weekly virtual 5k in new shoes and bad asthma week!
I wasn't going to run this week as I've had a bad week with my asthma. New inhaler not here till tomorrow so thought I needed to be sensible. I wasn't! New shoes were sat in the box taunting me and I felt a lot better yesterday so thought I'd have a slow jog out. Felt good not chasing PBs, singing

Completed another consolidation run yesterday...still hate love running
Pollen levels were really high and I went out medicated to the gills with a good smear of vaseline under my nose to block the pollen and with
inhalers
and hankies stuffed down my sports bra and leggings.

Asthma attack?
Ok, I feel a bit daft asking this question but...Two weeks ago I had problems when walking back to my car from work both nights. Because of covid a lot of the doors are locked in the hospital before my shift ends and I had a longer walk than usual and mostly uphill. I got seriously breathless and tight

Silly asthma!!!
I have my new running trainers sat waiting-unworn. I can't wait to get out but my chest has other ideas! After several days of struggling with my asthma, I've been left weak and wheezy. Have to wait till Monday for my new inhaler so till then I darent risk a run. Never had this itching to get out

Week 4 repeated Day 2
I finally did it! Managed to run for the full 16 minutes today. So strange since I haven’t been able to get past 12 minutes before today. I wanted to stop many times but managed the first 5 minute segment well and then really struggled during the last 5 minute segment and the small hernia on my left

asthma inhaler interaction with prednisone?
just adding to my previous post, yesterday I started using an asthma inhaler, (called Symbicort, active ingredients budesonide and fumaterol fumarate dihydrate ) prescribed for a long term cough, hopefully to be cleared up after two weeks of the inhaler. Could this have any bearing on the reappearance

Acid Reflux from Symbicort
recently diagnosed with asthma. Began with Symbicort DPI, but suffered a number of side effects. Have changed to Seritide inhaler, but am left with acid reflux side effect from Symbicort. Has anyone experienced something similar? Has the change in meds resulted in the reflux dissipating over time? Any

Peak flow
Hello there Can I ask if there’s a way to get health professionals to take your symptoms seriously even if your peak flow is your best? Mine is at my best yet I’m SOB, yawning loads (stops if I use reliever), coughing and my breathing is noticeable to other family members. It’s definitely not anxiety

Increasing intolerance to steroid inhalers
I seem to be having an increasing intolerance to preventer
inhalers
. My asthma nurse in unhappy as I do have to take my Ventolin several times a day, although for me, as I've had asthma since I was about 5, it doesn't bother me. Anyway, I take a Montelukast tablet every night (no problem).

Unsuitable medication for AF?
My wife is suffering terrible side effects with these new drugs, exhaustion, trouble breathing, dizziness, aching muscles, general lethargy and it makes her asthma
inhalers
less effective.

Just wanting to air my frustration really. For background - I have asthma (since childhood) now with small airways disease (last year spirometry showed obstruction in small airways and CT scan showed mucus plugging). I had a nasty haemaphilus infection in March (I have a persistent productive cough

Inconsistant spirometry?
So I have been for my spirometry test but they refused to do reversibility as my results were to inconsistant. Apparently I couldn't empty my lungs enough and my results were variable. I was really struggling as I hadn't had my inhaler and the thunderstorms were triggering me. She acted really annoyed
