Need some advice my doctor has increased my beta blockers and I’m on inhalers to but for the last few days my heart has been thumping

Thumping and fast, or just thumping? Palpitations in and of themselves can be unsettling but are not necessarily of concern. What are you on the beta blockers for? Salbutamol and other reliever inhalers generally raise heart rate after being taken.

I experience palitations and thumping/ ponding of heart on frequent occasions.

A 5 day ECG was carried out to understand why, and it appears I enjoy Ectopic Beats.

Essentially, I miss a beat every so often, and then my heart beats faster and heavier to compensate for that missed beat. Sometimes this happens for a few minutes, other times it keeps me up all night.

Sometimes I can reset the heart rate via blowing in to a syringe or taken my blood pressure (the cuff expands and restricts my blood flow, which in turns causes the heart beat to reset itself to a normal flow - so it has been explained to me).

The clinicians seem to acknowledge it, but don't get too excited about it.

I would certainly speak to my GP and get this issue tested for diagnosis to make sure it is something that is within expected norms. Better ot be safe than sorry...
