Infliximab infusion
I have not been able to get it under control this time and at the start of the year began
infliximab
infusions. Has anyone else tried
infliximab
? And if so did you see any positive results. So far all its done is brought on drug induced lupus and fibromyalgia for me.

New girl in town.
Since then I have tried prednisolone, budesonide, pentasa (although my consultant describes it as using a plaster), azathioprine, mercaptopurine and most recently inflectra (the new version of
infliximab
/remicade).

New Research from USA about drugs and GCA-- some of this s quite technical but a lay person should be able to follow the gist.
A trial of
infliximab
in GCA was terminated early because of a lack of efficacy.

I'm at a stage now where the condition seems to be under control (touch wood), with a good regime of tablets and
infliximab
. But for some time now I've been feeling this "brain fog" (I've seen it referred to on here as this and it sums it up amazingly!). Does this get better?

To Toc or not to Toc? That is the question
I wonder about
Infliximab
or one of the bio similars but as yet this option has not been discussed. They tell me that sometimes drugs become less effective over time. Has anyone else had this experience?

Rough week
I really don't know what would have happened, if it wasn't for this amazing
infliximab
therapy.

A cautionary tale, remission?!
They said I was in remission so I could come off
infliximab
and methotrexate - just like that! Within a month my RA was much worse and my knees (OA) wouldn't work. I became virtually housebound.

Fatigue and Work
Despite lots of medications including
infliximab
infusions I still suffer from lots of on-going symptoms, I just cannot break free from it.

Infliximab
, etc) https://theconversation.com/monoclonal-antibodies-the-invisible-allies-that-changed-the-face-of-medicine-45807

Remicade (Infliximab) and Insurance in the US?
Hi all, my doctor wants to prescribe Remicade but the pre-authorization forms make me worried that 1) Behcet's is not covered (because only 5 other illnesses are included on the form), and 2) It may be covered under pharmaceutical (expensive!) rather than medical (where they will do the injections in

Gastric Ulcers
I didn't respond to Aziathiprine, or Mychophenolate (cellcept) on this for over 1 year, and I've just started Infiximab infusions. ( I cannot imaging life without suffering from these symptoms, especially the ulcers, but it might happen with the

Infliximab or Humira
It's probably 6 months since my last post. I'd like to thank everyone who replied. I initially asked if anyone was still being prescribed Thalidomide and where in the country you lived. Since then I've taken advice from my Rheumatologist and, since last April, have tried a series of other immunosuppressants

My 12 year old has BD as people on here know but now has OCD in her elbow joints.
As of last week her rheumatologist has increased her
Infliximab
dosage amount and having it every 4 weeks. Finally Jaida is off steroids. Going ok just heaps of huge ulcers on her legs & more starting on her face. Just wondering what ideas you all have on minimising the scaring duo to ulcers.
