n plate don't work after covid
I've been on n plate for 3 years and it was working until 2 months ago when I got sick from corona virus very lightly but a week later the platelets dropped to 10 and they don't go up only with dexamethasone for a while and again 10 and below, does anyone have a similar experience? thank you

Scared - warm hospital to cold house
My partner John has now been in hospital for 18 days. He first went into Resuscitation for two days - after I called for an ambulance. The morning after a hotel stay, after we arrived too late to get a taxi home from a nearby town, he (a T1 diabetic) became unresponsive. He had been showing signs

Covid
Anyone managed to catch Covid 5 weeks after their latest booster? After avoiding Covid for nearly 3 years it finally caught up with me, didn't think that it would be this bad, day 10 and still positive!

Covid vaccines for encephalitis survivors
I know we all have a right to make our own decisions, but my nightmare experience with Covid means I think vaccinations are important for encephalitis survivors . I had Covid in 2020, before the vaccines were available . I developed a severe cough that made my chest so tight that I couldn’t

Ectopic Beats or Something More?
I thought it might be interesting to tell of my recent experience following my 6th covid booster. I have had a long history of experiencing ectopic beats...first diagnosed almost 40yrs ago when I was in my 20's. The cardiologist at the time explained that they are simply extra beats that can feel quite

No treatment since lockdown.
Just a day or two before the first lockdown I was due to have an impression taken of my top teeth. Obviously that couldn't go ahead.I contacted the dentist towards the end of last year only to be told they were only taking on emergency cases because of COVID. If I get the same response the next time

Labrynthitus earlier in the year, a few bad illnesses since then, covid positive 9 weeks ago. Dizziness and muffled ear now!
Earlier this year I had labrynthitus that lasted a good few months (3-4?). It felt like I was slightly tipsy and I was definitely clumsier than usual. At the end of summer I had a terrible chest infection, I dealt with that for about 10 weeks then almost straight after I got covid (double vaccinated,

PMR & Covid
I have PMR and recently got Covid. My symptoms have been fairly mild, but I was prescribed molnupiravar, an antiviral. Have any of you had experience with having Covid? Did you take an antiviral? Would appreciate your input. As my symptoms have been light, I have not begun it.

due a thyroid hormone test
having gone down with Covid this week and due next week to assess hormone levels. I would glad of any info as to how long I should wait to test . I know it gave me an unusual outcome when I had the Covid vaccination earlier this year! It showed a high in range of t3 , only time ever. Can’t

Asthma and Covid Experiences Please!
Hi, so after feeling pretty rubbish yesterday with a sore throat, spiking temp and barking sounding cough, today I have tested positive for Covid on a lateral flow after avoiding the damn thing for 3 years! I have asthma, so am understandably worrying! I am waiting for a call back from GPs as my peak

Still feeling ill after Covid for 3weeks.
3 weeks ago I was taken into hospital because my oxygen levels were low. I was kept in for 3 days & then sent home. That was on a Sunday & I was taken in again on the Wednesday with low sats & I found I tested positive for Covid. . I was just kept in for 2days. I hated being in there because I also

wet/AMD Patient Gets COVID
I thought you might find my experience interesting. One day I started feeling badly so the next morning at 3am I did the Covid self home test with two different test brands. Both tests showed that I was Positive for Covid-19 so I called my clinic and was Rxed a super drug called Paxlovid for high risk

Day 2 post embryo transfer and covid in the house! Can anyone give any reassurance, would it impact outcome if I got it too?
I’ve just had an embryo transfer 2 days ago (secondary infertility) so in the early stages of the 2 week wait and tonight my 15 year old son has just tested positive for covid. I was trying to keep positive after getting this far as it’s the first time I’ve got to transfer and now this. Worried sick

Back from a nightmare. Has anyone gotten Covid within a week of getting booster?
Hello everybody! I’m recovering from Covid, a hospital stay and a rehab stay that was nothing short of a living nightmare. Got the booster shot on the Monday before Thanksgiving, legs went out on Tuesday and Mom called 911. I’ve been wearing a mas since 2/15/20. Only going out to Dr appts and the

Off patent drug possibility for Covid. Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA), an approved liver disease drug, reduces ACE2 levels on lab-grown cells
There seems to be a deal of excitement in certain media areas about research involving UK, European and US researchers on a covid treatment drug. The one in question is an off patent drug ursodeoxycholic acid currently used to treat liver damage so a re-purposing rather than development of a new drug

Flare after covid for the second time
Good morning I am in a sad place today and really need your help. After 3 years of PMR I was put on hydroxychloroquine as well and had managed to reduce the pred from 17.5 to 11.75mg which was the lowest I had been in at least 18 months and was completely pain free. I then got covid 4 weeks ago, I was
