I feel badly that I'm earning "frequent flyer miles" so to speak with all my many recent questions, but if I may ask one more for now: Does
it seem rather extreme that my rheumatologist would pull me off
Imuran
and tell me I need to be off of 40mg. of prednisone in two weeks time as I've caught a virus accompanied by a fever?

if anyone takes imigran here 100mg for Migraine i wonder if they can answer this?.
I have Imigran to take as well as Amitriptyline and i have my Migraines every 11days to one every two weeks at the moment. It says you should not take it too often. But how often is ok then? Does anyone know?. I suppose it means every day or something.

prednisolone questions
My main drug at the moment is
Imuran
but I'm also on high dose prednisolone for recurrent Bell's Palsy (five times so far since the end of January). Every time I'm taken off Pred for about a week the Bell's Palsy comes back and I'm re-started on it.

Is this silent migraine?
Hi my migraine history is over 20 years. I started using Triptans 7 years ago. I am 42. Last December I had really bad month and I had migraine every week which each lasted about 4 days. GP put me on preventing medication. Proparanolol didn't do anything. Topiramate is working well now.

Changing triptans
I've been taking triptans for frequent migraines more or less since they became available in the UK. It was Imigran at first, but when Zomig came along I changed to that and a single 2.5 mg wafer is usually pretty effective at clearing a headache/migraine within two to three hours. However, I do take

Recommendation and your views please ..........................................................
Have looked at other med's Cellcept, Cytoxan,
Imuran
, lefunomide etc but would really appreciate your views and opinions. I really do not want to have another course of steroids they make me feel poorly, so want to go to my Rheumy with something else in mind. Thank you for your advice xx

Remicade, Imuran, Colchicine
I will start Remicade soon and my doctor plans to stop my
Imuran
and colchicine about the same time. However, I have heard that some Behcet's patients have remained on their immunosuppresants while using the Remicade.

My Behcet's headaches - "Atypical migraines"
I suffered from these for years and was treated with migraine medicines, high dose prednisone, Enbrel, Remicade, methotrexate, Cellcept,
Imuran
, you name it. Caffeine, either via coffee or caffeine pills, are also helpful to shrink swollen brain blood vessels.

umbilical stem cell treatment
Just came across this, do you think its worth asking the hospital about it here in the UK..... It is a pleasure to meet you. I have heard a lot of you and the work you are doing. You are a very incredible man. I have a question for you, I am 29 years old. Healthy male, correct height and weight ratio

Anyone Have Experience of Fibro Treatment/Help @ P'boro Hosp?
Hi, I'm in Ramsey near Huntingdon, I was dx'd with fibro after more than 30 years of seeing every specialist in this country and some in America too - worryingly, the dx was made within minutes by a rheumatologist at Hinch, then again (when Hinch didn't folllow up) by another rheumy at Addenbrookes

A Reality Check
I'm off to the Rheumo next week to work through a treatment plan (on
Imuran
50mg twice daily pre diagnosis, arcoxia, gabentin and others) and ask for another series of scans as something is not right in my lungs and ribs with pain and tenderness so hopefully they'll pick something up in the tests.

What do you do if the triptans don't work?
I don't get migraines very often, but when I do they hang around for days - basically until they feel like they want to go away. The one I have now is onto its fourth day. When it first came on I took one Imigran and that worked for a few hours but then the pain came back. I took another one before

Hi everyone This is my first post and I would like to say how helpful and informative I have found the blogs and replies. So thank you to all contributors. From reading other PMR stories I am aware that I have got off relatively lightly with this condition since the prednisolone has worked for
