Imbruvica and BM issues
I was told loose stool is a very common and to take
Imodium
(4 max daily) to help control this issue. My NP says it should subside in time. Does it? I'm 72 and I like being out and about without always being worried about nasty BM's. Thank you for any feedback. Best luck to all of us! Gooz

Low Dose Tetrahydrocannabinol and Melatonin for Better Sleep and Cognitive Function
Hello HealthUnlocked Members, I have been on ADT continuously since February 2016 and in general I have tolerated Lupron fairly well to date. Preservatives and other ingredients in injections
Hi! I'm wondering if anyone has opinions about or has researched preferable preservatives/ingredients in injections. IBS-D - Silicogel
I have tried many things over the last few years since my problem got worse, but other than the usual
Imodium
type of tablets, this works very well. In layman terms it apparently coats the stomach, and makes it less sensitive, meaning it slows the system down.

Hi everyone as it's salt awareness week and many people want to lower their sodium intake or concerned enough to want to know how myuch they are consuming as it is added to many unlikey foods, I'm also including the FDA nutritional advice as it has some very good advice. The NHS advice: https://www.nhs.uk

Thyroid bloods
Hi Since 2002 My various GPs go through the ritual of insisting on an annual blood test and stopping my prescription until I have one. I've over replaced my thyroxine for all this time because I originally did not respond to thyroxine levels I was prescribed . Long story, but until I over replaced I

Salt
Apparently it is (or was, as of yesterday) National Salt Awareness Week, organised by some worthies known as 'Action On Salt' (http://www.actiononsalt.org.uk/), with the hashtag ''#eatlessalt'. If nothing else, the existence of such things probably tells you all you need to know about our unhealthy relationship

World Salt Awareness Week
Hi everyone, This week is
World Salt Awareness Week
and this years theme is hidden salt in our food. In the US 70% of salt comes from packaged prepared and restaurant foods so how do we know the salt content of meals eaten out and thats the biggest source of sodium in some peoples diets. Too

Is there anything I can do to halt my disease progression?
Is there anything else I can do to halt my disease progression? My current GFR is 86 and I'm just trying to stop this thing before it gets out-of-hand. I currently do not eat refined sugar, gluten, or red meat. I have been sticking to a low sodium diet as well and eat mostly vegetables and fruit. I am

Acalabrutinib three weeks appointment
I don’t know where my previous post went. Very likely, I did something wrong, so here it goes. The only side effect was bad headache for one week after which it became dull and I don’t even need to take Tylenol. Some fatigue and less energy and that is all. 👍🏻 My results are: WBC low at 3.9,

Advice re Chronic Fissure for a 40-year-old Athlete
Hi, I'm new here. Thanks to everyone who's already posted. I first developed an anal fissure in 2.5 years ago. I kept thinking it would heal on its own. My surgeon told me continuing to row and bike wouldn't make it worse, but it definitely seemed to prevent it from healing. I finally had surgery

Levothyroxine sodium – Anhydrous vs. Pentahydrate
There is a difference between levothyroxine sodium (anhydrous) and the most common hydrated form, levothyroxine sodium pentahydrate. Five water molecules are attached to the levothyroxine sodium molecule in the pentahydrate; none in the anhydrous.
