Hi!
I'm wondering if anyone has opinions about or has researched preferable preservatives/ingredients in injections. In the US, benzyl alcohol seems to be the primary preservative in my cyano injections (other ingredients NaCl, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, "no more than 625 mcg aluminum"). The methyl injections from the wellness spas also use benzyl alcohol. I finally talked my doc into ordering hydroxo from a compounding pharmacy and was disappointed to see that it mostly consists of methyl paraben and propyl paraben.
I inject every other day for 4 months now and have autoimmune diseases on top of PA and injecting so frequently with seemingly crappy ingredients makes me anxious (though not more anxious than B12 deficiency, of course.) Am I worried too much? Are any of these better than anything else? (Preservative free from a compounding pharmacy isn't a good option with this frequency of injections, as I'd have to drive 2 hours to pick them up every 3 days, and it's expensive.) Thanks in advance for your knowledge and thoughts!
