help with results - Hashimotos?
Can someone help me interpret these results please? The anti-thyroidperoxidase is so high. Does this mean I have hashimotos? Ferritin and Vitamin D are on the low side. What level of supplements do people suggest? Mid 50s female. Currently on 125mcg levothyroxine. Slightly overweight but not massive

Hashimoto's?
I was diagnosed with autoimmune thyroiditis and adrenal insufficiency in 2008 by Dr Peatfield. I was on HC for while as NAX did not work for me. I changed my diet around and then weaned myself off HC. It feels like the symptoms are returning and I have had a full Thyroid panel done by Medichecks. Everything

How to add adrenal support (on NDT)
I think I need to add adrenal support to my NDT but looking for some help on the practicalities and open to ideas about whether this is my problem. Specifically, do I need to stop NDT first? If so, how slowly should I taper off? I'd really like to spend as little time as necessary feeling so hypo!

Getting adequate bone minerals without milk or yogurt
I'm 66 and have osteopenia. I took calcium and Vitamin D for many years because I've always hated milk and yogurt. I have some digestive problems now and can't take calcium. I try to eat green veggies, and I eat cheese, but I worry about my bones. I tried calcium hydroxyapatite but got constipated.

Bug or flare?
Hi everyone.. sorry I know I am a broken record on here! But can anyone tell me their thoughts on this please.. Had a stressful week in court with work last week. Really proud of myself as I managed to get through it with the help of Imodium and enteresogel, was lucky as we didn’t have to meet until

Very confused by blood test results - grateful for help please
Hi All, Further to my previous posts, I continue to be very unwell, with my main symptoms being severe fatigue and disabling cognitive symptoms. As I have mentioned in previous posts, I do also have a diagnosis of CFS/ME (for what that is worth) which has fluctuated in severity for the last 22 years

Heart-healthy foods.
New study [1]. It's well-known that men with PCa have a higher risk for cardiovascular disease. Even before ADT. Mark Moyad coined the phrase "heart-healthy is prostate healthy" and I think he is correct. The American "food pyramid" is a disaster imo, with grains at the bottom & fats at the

On Thyroxine - 8 weeks bloods shows TSH has dropped but still feel dreadful.
Hi all I’m on daily 50mg Levothyroxine for 8 weeks after private bloods showed the following; TSH 6.51 (R 0.27-4.2) T3 4.1 (R 3.1-6.8) T4 14.6 (R 12-22) High antibodies so likely Hashimotos. GP was reluctant to prescribe me, but did at the advice of an Endocrinologist. For reference I am 5ft

Next steps/where to get active b12 test?
Quick background: B12 deficiency (152) in 2017, negative IFAB, received 2x 3 monthly injections then taken off them. Investigating various symptoms now, recent bloods show drop in B12 from December 2022 (455) to now (206). Doctor saying I just need to take a multivitamin with B12 in, but I am not convinced

Good News - Nephrologist Visit Today
I had my yearly visit with my nephrologist today and received great news (Praise God!)
My eGFR has increased nearly 20 points (74) and creatinine decreased to .83. No protein in urine and sodium, potassium, phosphorus, albumin (as well as other parameters) are all exceptional!

Another consultant cancellation
My husband was due to speak to the upper GI consultant next week.It has been cancelled again 3rd time. He has been waiting 12 months now for this appointment. I am so angry. I am going to ring the Secretary tomorrow to ask if they can please reconsider. He is very poorly now. Sleeping mostly, not eating
