Vit D test is in two parts - D2 and D3, they are added together to give you your total Vit D level. D2 is always a very small number and you don't look at this on it's own, D3 is always a much larger number. See example report attached.
Your total Vit D result of 103nmol/L is good, the Vit D Council, Vit D Society and Grassroots Health all recommend a level between 100-150nmol/L.
Thank you for your explanation and quick response.I was concerned as I do not retain D3 and need to take a reasonably high dose daily. I have taken 5000iu D3 daily for 20 years. That dose has been successful at keeping my level satisfactory.
