Double whammy chemo
Some lymph tumors diminished but a new adrenal showed up, hence the change to the carbo/cabazi (Dana Farber-Dr Chris Sweeney) ( we relocated to Cambridge) Also going to see Dr Drake to see if
immunotherapy
would do anything for John’s situation Any thoughts? Grateful for y’all

Lung with brain Mets and not treating
There was hope of
immunotherapy
being given after initial radiotherapy to the brain but dad is unable to come off steroids due to brain so it has been decided that they are not going to treat him at all. We as a family are devastated. Dad seems to have withdrawn.

ASH 2018: Dr. Chadi Nabhan on the Cost of Ibrutinib vs. Chemo vs Chemoimmunotherapy in CLL and on way too much chemo being used.
In fact, there is very little role for chemo-
immunotherapy
. The trial was designed to look at the economic impact of drug choice, but to his credit Dr. Nabhan highlights his finding about the lousy treatment too many patients are still getting.

Ovarian cancer: New drug may prevent recurrence
There is also an
immunotherapy
trail taking place in Melbourne Australia, which has shown promising results. I believe it's at Frankston Hospital in Melbourne. Best wishes Roman

Survival rates for having PCa and bone metastasis???
Had Provenge
immunotherapy
treatment in March 2019. Continuing on Lupron/Eligard. Now on Olaparib, PARP inhibitor. Latest PSA <0.01. I am trying my best to keep ahead of this disease, and will continue to research all viable options. I plan on beating the odds that are stacked against me.

"Cancer Prevention and Treatment by 'Wholistic' Nutrition". . . .by T. Colin Campbell
Thus, treatment protocols typically are designed to remove or kill cancer cells by surgery, chemotherapy,
immunotherapy
and/or radiotherapy. However, empirical evidence has existed to show a fundamentally different treatment option.

Positive results from chemo (Docetaxel) & some questions
As for the next protocol, MO wants to do PD-L1 test to see if hubby will respond to
immunotherapy
such as Keytruda. Does anybody have experience with Keytruda? Does it work for Pca? On another note, our genetic testing came out and here’s the result: Mr.

? If anyone has experienced this, please let me know. It’s so odd...

LDH markers
My husband was on
immunotherapy
for lung cancer which had spread to lymph nodes and pleura. The
immunotherapy
was stopped as a CT scan showed spread to the liver. He has now been put on Carboplatin and Pemetrexed. After his last (2nd) dose of that his bloods showed an increase in LDH.

Has anyone been given or are there discussions about
Immunotherapy
which, I guess is the Big Guns in this fight/battle whatever it is we’re all going thru? One more “ADD-type” thought (I know I ramble and am scattered thinker): see now I can’t even remember what it was?

Antihistamines reversed tumor-enhancing effects of myeloid-derived suppressor cells
report shows that we still have much to learn about their potential benefits. It is certainly not yet time to prophylactically administer antihistamines for cancer prevention, but the more we learn about myeloid-derived suppressor cells, the more interesting these cells and their products become as

What is CAR-T therapy? An expert explains in simple terms
Not specific to CLL but informative. CAR-T therapy is a completely new type of therapy that uses the immune system to kill cancer cells. In some cases it has cured people where all other treatments have failed. Professor Karl Peggs, Scientific Director of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR
