Clinical trial?
He needs something to boost his response to the
immunotherapy
, possibly a drug injected into the tumor, a vaccine , something to turn a cold tumor hot? I am lost. I spent all day looking at trials and am more confused than ever.

Hi there, Early this year, I volunteered for a clinical trial to test side effects of an
immunotherapy
drug. For me, things didn’t go to well as a healthy volunteer. Has anyone else had an experience like this?

Immunotherapy and Gene Modification of T Cells
I'm diagnosed as of April 2018, and like so many others in the Watch and Wait phase. I hate this approach, but I understand why it is taken. In essence the current treatments available are as dangerous as the disease, so the doctors wait until the enemy is deep in your territory. Sort of waiting until

Leukaemia Care Webinar 8th April - a bit more information
For some patients a pause in treatment is reasonable and a better option than continuing with chemo-
immunotherapy
. For patients in clinical trials, they are giving them 6 month appointments and couriering out their medication. There is no risk to the drug supply.

Will this immunotherapy work for me? A common immune cell points the way.
These
immunotherapy
drugs unleash a patient’s immune system against their disease and can yield dramatic results, even in advanced cancers. But checkpoint inhibitors come with a huge caveat: They only help a small subset of patients.
