Matrix trial
Followed by two years of
immunotherapy
. Remission in between each treatment. Now lung is clear but spread to lymph nodes at base of neck. Referred to Beatson in Glasgow who are forwarding biopsy to Birmingham to see if I am a suitable candidate for one of the Matrix trials.

Impressive research
I have found that radiation therapy in conjunction with
immunotherapy
seems to have a systemic response. Essentially leading a horse to water. Again a lot of this is dependent upon things such as tumor burden etc. But this research has me more hopeful.

Study identifies patients with lung cancer most likely to respond to immunotherapy.
Scientists are beginning to unravel one of the biggest challenges with
immunotherapy
: why some people with cancer respond to the treatment, while others may not respond at all.

Mum - second-line treatment
Hello My mum has NSCLC grade 3b and is now moving to second-line treatment after the
immunotherapy
/chemo combination failed to work after an initial good response. Last week she had radiotherapy to the main tumour to help reduce the size and treat her breathlessness and hoarse voice.

While tumor markers such as urinary micro RNA for initial prediction of a cancer diagnosis, microsatellite instability and tumor burden have been useful in endometrial, GI and melanoma to predict
immunotherapy
benefit they don't seem to be helpful for prostate cancer.

My Mum
She was diagnosed stage 3b NSCLC in April this year and started treatment of two chem and
immunotherapy
even though her PDL1 (sp) was below zero. After her 4th treatment she had a scan which showed shrinkage and that the lymph nodes had nearly gone.

Atezolizumab
The plan and probably my last chance is for Atezolizumab
immunotherapy
which I start next week. I thought it would be Keytruda but he said the above was better for my circumstances. Does anyone have any positive results to the above treatment please or experience of having this drug.

Happy Last Chemo Day!
He also developed a rash but it is not caused by the chemo but by the
immunotherapy
drug (Opdivo) that he is taking as part of a Phase 2 clinical trial. The rash always starts to clear up just in time for the next treatment.

Non-Invasive Therapies
Hello All, I am new to this group and look forward to learning from experiences of others. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer the beginning of this month, and I am exploring non-invasive therapies as I want to avoid chemo, surgery, and most radiation therapies. Please let me know: [a] the availability

Update - Immunotherapy treatment
My partner was an ideal candidate for
immunotherapy
and has completed three cycles of Keytruda Pembrolizumab. Without treatment prognosis was only a few months. He had his first scan and his oncologist shared the incredible news this week that he is responding to the treatment.

Articles on the status of immunotherapy in PCa and infomation about AMG-160-BiTE therapy.
I believe when you read this article, you will be surprised at all the studies that are ongoing for
immunotherapy
drugs alone or in combo. It includes tables on current status of trials, etc...
