Onik for his
Immunotherapy
Procedure. It is a gamble and risk, but bc of what we have learned about Dr. Onik, we have concluded it is worth the chance to see what happens. We had our oncologist here in Dallas research the protocol and we have his full blessing.

Moving on to Provenge/Sipuleucel-t
The good doc said he's a good candidate for
immunotherapy
at this stage; the point is to boost and tailor his immune system to help fight the cancer and also will retain a decent QOL. So Provenge infusions will begin in a few week's time.

Got a letter this morning giving me dates for this treatment. 7th December - 14th December and 21st December. While I am pleased to finally have got my dates, I remain uneasy as normally the outcome of biopsies are in the letter. For the first time since my diagnosis, i do not know the findings of

Targeted Chemo
Unfortunately his cancer is progressing now so the
immunotherapy
has been stopped. He’s been put on chemo every 3 weeks & targeted chemo tablet form - 4 tablets a day. We were warned that he would be ill with it & he is . How long do the symptoms from the treatment last ?

immunotherapy
hi there Very low. My midway scans are showing my lymph nodes that grew after my huge debulking surgery in March have not shrunk with the chemotherapy and I have some nodules on peritoneum ( nothing in any organs) So he can’t say that the chemo hasn’t worked in other type cancer but it’s not doing

Carbo/caelyx 2nd line
I was hoping to just get to
immunotherapy
tbh but it looks like you need to do at least 2 series of chemo first to be eligible... so, anyone else had a similar treatment plan? Did it work for you? Shrink tumours? Keep things at bay for a bit?

Why don’t doctors read notes properly before calling patients?
I have been on
immunotherapy
for 15 mths to treat 4 HCC tumours . In December 2023 my scan showed some ‘pseudo growth’ and I was given a further 3 mths treatment. Last Monday I was anxiously awaiting my results for the latest scan.

CCR6 & CCL20 are the key drivers in prostate tumor microenvironment.
I find this interesting on using arthritis drugs injected into tumor during
immunotherapy
instead of steroids.

Bexmarilimab seems to be able to improve
immunotherapy
. It was not yet tested on prostate cancer, but it's already commercially used to treat blood malignacies.

Intersitial Lung Disease and Lung Cancer
We have been told he cannot have radiotherapy or
immunotherapy
because of intersitial lung disease and was wondering if anyone on these threads had any further information on treatments for ILD and Lung Cancer. So far I am not having any luck in finding any alternative treatments.
