Treatment with immunoglobulin
As I had a regular appointment with my hematologist the week after the programme I decided to ask about the
immunoglobulin
levels in my blood. (I am normally given just the cell count.)

Basic Q&As I thought to share
IgE, or
immunoglobulin
E, is an antibody normally found in humans that causes the symptoms seen with allergies (hives, rashes, wheezing, runny nose). In IgE-mediated cow’s milk protein allergy, symptoms usually start within 2 hours of drinking cow’s milk.

Confused about beta2glycoprotein cutoff
Hi, I have tested positive for beta2glycoprotein IGM 3 times in the past 4 months. My value was 21 each time and the cutoff for positive is 20. The interpretive info says 20 is the 99th percentile and my result is suggestive of APS. I have also read that the value needs to be over 40 to be diagnostic

There are several that are high ESR, IgG, IgM, C Reactive Protein but Lupus is ok. This GP is concerned enough to fax the Rheumy's secretary to ask him to

Cyclosporin
Hi all Having tried and failed with: Azathioprine, Rituximab, IvIG, N-Plate, Eltrombopag, Predisolone, MMF and Dexamethasone. I am tapering my prednisone so that I am off it shortly and will then begin Cyclosporin. Anyone any experience with this? Has it worked? Side effects?
