Question re further tests to be carried out by GP
At the PAS conference it was suggested by one of the speakers that I try introducing Methylcobalamin into my regime substituting it for some of my daily Hydroxocobalamin injections since I have various neurological problems and also extreme heat intolerance. My body starts to shut down in anything above

My latest results - do I need T3?
I apologize in advance for lengthy post but don’t want to miss anything important. I have Hashimoto and been on levothyroxine for last 4 years. Recently I increased my levothyroxine dose from 125mcg to 150mcg. Although increasing it was a nightmare, I have made it and am on 150mcg for last 3 months.

Health Check: do home remedies for common warts really work?
Strangely, despite my neutropenia and
immunoglobulin
levels worsening over time, I haven't had a subsequent outbreak of warts. Neil Photo: Sunset on an avenue of eucalyptus trees on a country road

Hello I'm new! Bit confused about ALP and imaging options..
Hi fellow PBCers I've recently found this forum and already I'm feeling more supported. I'm 60, and AMA (M2) was found in 2002 when I was treated for another auto-immune disease, but I was only alerted to the PBC significance in 2011 (naughty NHS!). Started Urso in 2012 when LFT's were slightly raised

Considering splenectomy to treat ITP
Hi - I have ITP and have been treated with Prednisone, Dapsone and IVIG intermittently for the past 3 years with no real success at getting my platelets above 50 000. My count is normally between 30 000 - 40 000 whilst on Prednisone - its lower when on no drugs. My doctor has recommended I get a splenectomy

Test Results Waiting time?
Hi Everyone, I'm just wondering how long I should expect to wait to get back results for blood tests and a chest X-ray? I know that some tests take longer than others so I've listed below which ones I've had recently. - Anti-nuclear Factor - Anti-CCP Antibody Level - DNA binding auto-antibodies - Extractable

IVIG Infusions
Hi, I am four years post FCR and have been suffering with lingering coughs following winter colds. At the end of last year i developed pneumonia following a cold in November. My hematologist has decided that I would benefit from IVIG infusions during the winter months, as he is worried I could damage

IVIG and Immunoglobulins
Today I posted on our website an audio interview (and accompanying transcript) with the wonderful Dr. Ben Kennedy from the UK whom I spoke with during the 2016 CLL Horizons meeting in Belgrade, Serbia a few weeks ago. We talked about how CLL affects our immune systems in addition to being a blood cancer

Hello thyroid fans! I have been to a new haematologist who has carried out a swathe of tests to get a baseline, including some thyroid related ones that I hadn't been able to convince the previous 8 doctors to do! She said she would get I touch if there were any problems - she hasn't but has referred
