Long wait time for referral
I recently had an ultrasound which showed a few cysts on my right ovary, one of which was haemorrhagic and they're suspecting endometriosis. I currently have the coil inserted, and am on yasmin also to try and reduce pain. Struggling massively with pain, taking tramadol daily and using hot water bottles

Do you recommend the copper coil?
I am considering the copper coil and I’ve heard mixed review about it so I wanted to see wether people recommend it. I have taken different pills for many years now but I want to switch to the coil as it’s hormone free. I am aware that bleeding and pain are very likely to become worse and I can cope

Best contraceptive with Hashimoto's/hypothyroidism?
I've only ever taken Cerazette and microgynon. Both seemed to cause mood issues like anger, volatility and depression, but I only took them at times in my life where I was hypothyroid but undiagnosed or undermedicated and had mood issues anyway. I recently thought it might be worth getting the copper

Coil before diagnosis
Hi! Do you know if it is a good idea to start using the coil before being diagnosed with endometriosis? I have been in so much pain these lasts months and after being so annoying with my GP, and a transvaginal ultrasound that showed "bulky cervix" she started thinking I had endo. She referred me to ghyneacology

Copper Coil Moved??
I experienced pain during sex and after sex. I started bleeding afterwards and was in a lot of pain. My partner checked to try and feel the strings but he said he could feel something solid that he’d never felt in the past. I’m still in pain, I spoke to 111 and they basically dismissed me and told me

Coil fitting at the end of lap
Long story short the coil is my last resort as I can’t seem to have any of the other forms of contraception without getting headaches so I had my lap in august which was my third one 😢 and was told to give the coil six months to settle. I had my first period as normal then my second but then I bled

Obsessive Thinking
Hi, everybody! I have a tendency to over-fixate on intellectual/ethical/spiritual questions that create a lot of anxiety for me. The latest one is on cultural misappropriation. Yes, I know. All cultures appropriate, borrow, and mix; cultural appropriation itself is not inherently wrong, but there are

Decapeptyl and add on HRT help
Hello, I'm new on here so I'm not sure how this works. I was officially diagnosed with Endo last July, had a laparoscopy then the coil fitted, which didn't work, so was offered the Decapeptyl injections to suppress my ovaries. I had the first one exactly a month ago but nothing seems to have happened

Laparoscopy 2 years ago but still no diagnosis. Any other possible reasons for symptoms?
Hi, sorry its a long one. I had a laparoscopy 2 years ago in Feb for suspected endo... Extremely heavy bleeding (I used to bleed through a heavy tampon and incontinence pad), really painful cramping(sometimes like I'm in labour), bleeding and pain/bloating after sex, huge clots (much bigger than a 50p

Potential endo advice
Hi all! I’m 24 and came off the mini pill and had the copper iud (non hormonal) fitted roughly 2.5yrs ago. I show symptoms of endo which I’ve been complaining about since coming off the pill and I FINALLY have had a referral to the gynaecologist! So I have unbelievably heavy periods, continuous lower

Hi all! Potential Endo?
Hi all! :) After a year of doctors appointments and being told different things, by different people, I've been told today that my symptoms coincide with endo. Originally, they thought I was suffering with Crohns Disease, which made sense to me because I have the coil, and all my symptoms are to do

Intimate problems after Coil
Hi, Sorry if too much information, I had the coil inserted approx 3 months ago and since then I can’t have intercourse due to it being incredibly painful. I struggled before the coil but it seems to have got drastically worse since. Has any experienced anything similar? Many Thanks Amber

Mild endometriosis removed, what comes next?
I recently had a investigative laparoscopy during which they found mild endometriosis scarring which was removed, I also had the merina coil inserted. I don't have any follow up appointments and my discharge letter says that this is good news. My pain has definitely gotten better whether that's due

Any advice for dealing with extreme anxiety of having to remove and replace hormonal coil?
So I had the mirena coil fitted about 2 years ago. Although everything has been great, I had an absolutely horrific insertion (I lost consciousness on the bed and vomited afterwards from the pain). I’m normally able to brush this experience off but tonight I’ve just been filled with this horrific sense

An awful lot going on!
For the 1st month or so following the attack I was doing very well but in April my
ICD
fired for what I thought was the 1st time (apparently it had gone off during the heart attack but I didn't notice!)

Adenomyosis-treatment success stories....?
Hello ladies-hope you're all as well as can be today. I'm desperately hoping that some of you might be able to offer me some light at the end of the tunnel in terms of adeno treatments..... The pill -anyone had success with this? Chemically induced menopause...? Any other form of treatment? The coil
