Fatigue/dizzyness

Hi, I survived my second 'out of hospital- cardiac arrest almost a year ago and am still struggling with fatigue and dizziness. was fitted with an ICD since last December.

After months of tweaking meds, I don't seem to be any further forward. I have been back at work since the end of May, but am working from home due to Covid which means I can mostly set my own diary. I am exhausted almost all the time and have frequent bouts if dizziness. I know I wouldn't be able to do normal Mon_Friday in the office but working from home has allowed me to be productive in manageable chunks of time.

My ICD is not picking up on any heart issues, the constant adjusting of meds has achieved nothing, so I'm starting to wonder if my symptoms are related to oxygen deprivation at the time of the CA. (I had a brain scan shortly afterwards which showed no damage)

Anyone had any similar long term issues or can offer any words of advice, please reply

Your body has been through a lot hun. We are both so lucky to be here. I still get a lot of tiredness also I do get wooziness if that's a word lol.. My short term memory isn't the best since CA but my little boy just calles me miss scatterbrain. If you are worried just continue to talk to your consultant. I don't think we ever feel the same again we just learn to love the new version of us. Take care x
