ADAA Story of Triumph: My Obsessive Life
"In 2006, I was diagnosed with an immune disorder and had a bout of meningitis. After I got sick and started to recover I started getting panic attacks and anxiety. It got so bad I ended up in the mental health section of the VA hospital," Dave explains. "As far as therapy is concerned I have gone through

Post op advice
I'm 2 weeks post laparoscopy and I'm struggling quite a bit with feeling generally overwhelmed with everything. I initially went in thinking I had endo in 3 main areas, but my operation ended up being 2.5 hours longer than originally estimated and ended up having the following removed: - 4cm cysts -

Missed miscarriage and endo
Hi warriors, Just wanted to share my story, because I feel so low and heartbroken, and I'm sure there are women here who can relate to my experience. The loss that comes with a miscarriage is hard enough, but then when I also have endo, it's that sinking feeling that my womb is just broken and it's

hi all, I’ve had my endometriosis surgically removed last year in June and had the coil fitted then. everything has been fine so far but has taken a while for my body to settle down with everything especially with my hormones from being on zodalex for six months and then had the mirena coil fitted

Long Haul Flights
I had one almost 3 yrs ago and had an
ICD
fitted 2 just over 2 yrs ago. I was wondering what other people did. I've thought about compression socks etc, and did people obtain a fit to fly letter from their GP? I'm flying from the UK To New York.

Mirena coil
Does anyone have experience of mirena coil? I'm approaching 50 and my GP has suggested switching to that from Gedarel (combined pill), which I've been on for years with no problems. I've never liked the idea of the coil but they won't prescribe Gedarel after 50... Hopefully I'll have reached the menopause

Help interpreting results & likelihood of diagnosis if I saw a private practitioner.
Good afternoon, I’m at my wit’s end and would very much appreciate help interpreting recent blood tests and symptoms. I previously posted a few weeks back with details of private tests carried out with Monitor my Health on 24/1/23. They were as follows: TSH 4.74 mu/L (0.27 - 4.2) FT4 13.9 pmol/

6 weeks post excision surgery and still can’t walk far.
Hi, I’m 42 years old and I had a laparoscopy with four incisions 6 weeks ago. The surgeon said endo was severe and excised it from all of my reproductive organs and from my bladder, pelvic ligaments and an artery. They also removed endo cysts from both ovaries. Apparently everything was stuck together

Endo and Merina Coil
Hey ladies! I've just come back from my first gynaecology appointment. I've been told I have very common symptoms that point to my pain being endometriosis related (I already have pcos) I was under the impression I was there to discuss the laparoscopy my Dr referred me for, however my Gyno said that

What’s everyone’s experience with the mirena coil? I have had mine for 4 months now and had it inserted whilst I was under for my lap. Advice.
Hi everyone, I saw a consultant yesterday via Cancer pathway GP referral, I have had horrendous heavy painful periods for as long as I can remember, I saw a consultant 4 years ago who said I had large fibroids and fitted a mirena coil. My periods never changed! It has taken over my life, so yesterday

ICD implant and trapped phrenic nerve
Finally I got a cardiac nurse on “ a good day” ( her expression, not mine) and she referred me to the
ICD
monitoring department. Today I drove 2 hours only to find their equipment had broken down and they could not see me.
