I have doubled in size since getting my IUD and have starved myself to loose weight I’m down 10kg but smoky bmi is still really to get surgery I really want to take it out and try my diet and exercise without it to achieve weight loss but I’m scared that the pun will be agonising again.
My doctor said that if I get my iud out I M not I’m as much pain because if I was then I would keep it any thought

I guess the first question is, has the IUD helped with the pain? If so that would be a strong argument to keep it.
I am not clear about what you mean about surgery. Have you been told you can’t have surgery unless you lose weight? Or are you just generally unhappy about weight gain?
If you have to lose weight for surgery, then personally, I think that decision can be challenged, but I don’t have experience of doing that. Some surgeons set a BMI limit, others don’t, so it can’t be medically essential. You can certainly argue that you are successfully losing weight and therefore they should be considering you for surgery.
Are you sure it is the IUD which has caused the weight gain? If so I guess you need to balance that against the amount of pain you had before. The weight might not necessarily drop off just because you get it removed though.
I am concerned that you said you ‘starved’ yourself. Maybe it just felt like that, dieting does for me! Weight loss really needs to be gradual to be sustainable. Maybe get advice from a dietitian or use one of the online dieting apps to ensure you are eating a healthy amount.
