Looking for a new CLL doctor
I've been on
ibrutinib
for 3 yrs now My doctor from Loyola just retired and I was hoping if any of you in the Chicago area have a CLL physician who you might recommend. I'm feeling a little unsettled because I loved my original doctor and didn't care for the new doctor I was given.

Phlegmy covid cough and recovery times
My one parent has CLL and is on
ibrutinib
. He came down with covid about two weeks ago, had three days of remdesivir that started 7 or 8 days after infection. He still has a terrible phlegmy cough and is constantly coughing up mucous.

TOOTH EXTRACTION
On
Ibrutinib
, which I would stop for a few days prior and afterwards. (23 years of Cll). Given the above do I really need to go to the hospital for this extraction? Could others share their experience?

Venetoclax Consolidation Achieves Durable Off-Treatment Remissions in Patient with High Risk CLL Who Have Been on Ibrutinib More Than a Year
"Patients (pts) receiving
ibrutinib
(ibr) for CLL rarely achieve complete remission (CR) with undetectable minimal residual disease (U-MRD). Therefore, indefinite ibr maintenance therapy (Rx) is standard of care.

1.5 million atrial fibrillation cases may be undiagnosed in US (prevalence estimate of 11%)
Also, while the risk of most adverse events from BTKi treatments reduces over time, including the risk of atrial fibrillation, the risk of developing (treatable) high blood pressure increases (see attached image from the long term 5 year follow-up of
ibrutinib
treatment).

IVIG after heart surgery and stopping IBRUTIMIB
12 months ago I was on an
Ibrutinib
clinical trial for my CLL.
Ibrutinib
worked great for me for years. I found out I needed a triple bypass due to 95% LAD artery blockage. Not good! A stent wasn’t an option in my case due to necessity for blood thinners.

Fluconozale
Does anyone know anything about the use of this anti-fungal ( fluconozale) that helps with the absorption of
ibrutinib
or venetoclax ? It seems like it means you can reduce the dosage by about 1/3. This is really important for those who are self funding.

Ibrutinib - Excessive Itching
I am wondering if there is some kind of side effect from
Ibrutinib
that we aren’t thinking of. Does anyone else have this type of issue?

Median PFS for FCR treated CLL patients with IGHV-M was 14.6 years vs 4.2 years for patients with IGHV-UM. V+O and I+R look to be superior
The big advantages of combination targeted therapies (venetoclax + obinutuzumab and
ibrutinib
+ rituximab shown in the accompanying PFS plots), are that not only are they proving superior to FCR, you don't need to be a young (aged 65 or younger), fit patient to go through these treatments

Relapsed CLL: New Approaches Prolong Survival
Furman noted that

Red lesions...big and small
I am being told that they are not a side effect to the
Ibrutinib
so I am reaching out to see if anyone else has experienced a similar condition and if they have found a viable treatment for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks!

Off Treatment Thoughts
Was on
ibrutinib
followed by zanubrutinib for consecutive 24 months. Labs normalized and stayed that way within 6 weeks of initiating treatment. So was on BTKi therapy for two years Have been off zanubrutinib since July 2022.

Ibrutnib, HBP, RLS, and insomnia issues
My questions: Can anyone recommend a medication for
ibrutinib
induced hbp? Is anyone on medication for restless legs and if so, does it work? How about general insomnia, any benign medication for that?

Cancer drug found to contain life-threatening bacteria
Incidentally, there are allegedly the same issues in China where the FDA theoretically oversea some drug production but they are obfuscated from inspecting production and QA records It’s worth noting that
Ibrutinib
will be coming off patent soon and may be manufactured in India.
