prostap didn't work -what next?
I finally had a call from the specialist who basically told me because the prostap hasn't shown improvement in pain then there's no point having a
hysterectomy
. He said it may be that my body is used to being in pain and that's why I'm in pain.

Sphincter of oddi dysfunction
I’ve had multiple endo surgeries and total
hysterectomy
this year but still zero relief. I am looking to find a specialist anywhere in the country that focuses on the sphincter of oddi dysfunction, ERCP’s etc. does anyone have any experience of this and any advice on where to go?

Laparoscopy today… full hysterectomy needed!
So after my laparoscopy today it’s confirmed my best treatment will be a full
hysterectomy
! I’m only 38 but know it’s what’s needed and what I want but still over whelmed! Any idea when I’ll get the surgery is the next question tho!

Laparoscopic hysterectomy - do I absolutely need someone to look after me when I get home from hospital?
Hey there, I was wondering if anyone who's had a laparoscopic
hysterectomy
could tell me what it was like for them straight after.

Aviva - Excluding Endometriosis as a "Chronic" Condition
The Endo was removed in 2018 and this was followed up with a
hysterectomy
in 2019. This didn't stop the pain and after more tests they want to proceed to remove her ovaries to induce a surgical menopause (bear in mind, shes only 33). The pain is definitely worse around her hormonal cycle.

Fibroids after menopause
The consultant told me that fibroids of that size never appear after menopause, I need a radical
hysterectomy
and it may be a sarcoma. I was completely floored by all that since the radiographer that did the scan was just like "you have a fibroid ".

Estrogen HRT after Hysterotomy
Hi I had a
hysterectomy
in Dec 20 because of severe endometriosis. Also had a melon sized chocolate cyst stuck to my bowel and needed bowel surgery. Before my hysterotomy, I was put on Zoladex injections and Tibolone tablets whilst i waited for surgery during lockdown.

Endometriosis diagnosed, awaiting hysterectomy
Hi, I was diagnosed with Endometriosis 4 weeks ago and have been told that I will need a
hysterectomy
. I have now been referred for an MRI scan and Kidney scan before I will have a face to face appointment with the Gynaecologist. Has anyone else had this and how long did this take?

Light brown pigmentation under jawline only, hypothyroidism issue or something else?
I had a
hysterectomy
17 years earlier and did not have this light brown pigmentation could this be from the thyroidectomy? Any ideas on how to get rid of it? I tried those skin lightening creams but they haven’t helped.

Second Menopause?
This necessitated a total
hysterectomy
and appendectomy, fortunately both tumours were benign. In 2021 I started to have weight gain (not experienced previously) which I’ve not been able to completely lose and some hot flashes.

Investigations
I was told today nothing else can be done as if that didn’t work for pain then an
hysterectomy
won’t work. I have endo, PCS, fibroids and cysts.

Question on treatment options (long)
I am 67, breast cancer survivor (diagnosed 2014 with stage 1 and did not need chemo or radiation but did take a pill for 5 years and had a double mastectomy) and in 2021 was diagnosed with endometrial stromal sarcoma which was treated by a complete
hysterectomy
and chemo.

post hysterectomy and bowel resection
Had total
hysterectomy
and bowel resection 5 week's ago. Still no appetite and so tired, feel stronger in myself physically but feel lifeless. Got pinky/brown discharge too. Should I still be feeling like this, is it normal? Coping with temporary stoma too. Fed up!!

Bleeding post hysterectomy
Hi, I just wondered if anyone suffered from spotting 2 weeks post
hysterectomy
? I am having terrible issues with my bowel so I am having to go to the loo a lot more than a normal person so I’m worried this has done something bad to the vaginal stitches.
