Zoladex - any positives?
I had lap surgery 3-months ago to drain two large masses and have been told I need a
hysterectomy
plus bowel surgery as it has all stuck together. My local CCG waiting list for a consultation with the general surgeon is 62-weeks.

Hysteroscopy - general anaesthetic?
Whilst in hospital they discovered reoccurrence of cysts on both ovaries , I have a huge fibroid which is 10cm it used to be 14cm (they got it down to 4cm with prostap but it’s grew back in the last year) it was suggested a
hysterectomy
would be the best way forward eventually due to a lot of gynae

Should my Thyroxine be put down?
I am in surgical menopause after a full
hysterectomy
two years ago (which could also explain the weight gain!) and I've just started back on HRT. I have also been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, and I'm currently trying to get the bottom of what's causing it.

Do I need to stop taking estrogen? Feel as if I'm choosing between mental and physical health.
From what I can gather from things (and I am new to this - didnt know I had endometriosis until Tuesday when they aborted my
hysterectomy
as my bowel is fused to my cervix) estrogen seems to be the driving force behind endometriosis. Is that true? It also seems to be driving the fibroids.

Hysterectomy advice
The surgery is my choice of either laparoscopy to try and put a plaster on the issues, or a partial
hysterectomy
removing my uterus to try and provide a bigger fix. Has anyone here had a partial
hysterectomy
and can give me any advice on what to expect?

Hi all I’m a type 2 diabetic, age 62, previous
hysterectomy
. I get recurring water infections and often the dipstick shows that up and nearly as many times I’m told no infection. I class myself as having painful bladder syndrome though that’s never been confirmed.

Husband passed away and I'm numb
the one who's looked after me after surgery and who got me chocolate or a hot water bottle during flare ups, who I woke up to every day and went to bed with every night, who accepted that I wouldnt be able to give him a child with no arguments and who saw me at my lowest when my specialist told me a

My decision wasn’t just the hair I think it was just the amount I’m putting into my body given I have an auto immune disease too I am also not opposed to a full
hysterectomy
now I’ve had the fertility preservation.

Feeling like a failure as a women
No one talks about the nitty gritty of having a
hysterectomy
, now I sit and think was it all worth it should I have just stuck it out and not had it done.

so many questions
She had her surgery today for total abdominal
hysterectomy
and they removed a tumour the size of a melon. The cancer nurse specialist has already been round and confirmed it is cancerous but they are sending it off for grading? What is grading? They have left her womb in but we aren’t sure why.

I have questions about Tamoxifen, aka Hormonal Therapy
I have had 6 rounds of Chemo, & a total
hysterectomy
. I've been doing Avastin since January 2022. Currently my CA-125 is a 43, elevated above the 35 Cancer marker. But my oncologist is monitoring me very closely with Ct-Scans every 3 months.

zoladex hasn’t worked?
I’m in my second month of zoladex 3.6 (while I wait for
hysterectomy
date) When I had my first one I experienced more pain then normal and still had bleeding, I’m lead to believe this is fairly common for the first time.

How has complete hysterectomy with ovaries removed also (or natural menopause) affected your symptoms?
Thank you very much, ladies. I hope everyone is having a pain free day

Vedolizimub - is my immune system stronger now as my HPV has gone since on Vedo
My gynaecologist said I may need
hysterectomy
if my immune system can’t fight the virus due to me being on azaphoprine etc. i’m now on vedolizimub and my HPV has now almost cleared and I do not need a
hysterectomy
which is fantastic.

What questions did you wish you’d asked before hysterectomy?
I’d been offered Zoladex or a
hysterectomy
, but i pushed for an MRI before making any decisions (the surgeon put me on the waiting list for total
hysterectomy
anyway knowing the long delays…). I’ve got the review in a few weeks. First time I’ve spoken to him since the first post op check.

because of cancer and on treatment for a cuti I've had 4 years. Obviously hormones have crashed as i had to come of hrt I feel cold one minute then hot flushes with sweats. Could this be Thyroid/adrenal gland problem?
