Hypnosis in asthma treatment
I am a health psychologist in training studying the use of hypnosis in asthma for my doctorate. My GP put me on to hypnosis and autogenic training to help my own asthma control, so I know about its benefits on a personal basis. Is anyone aware of any studies being done with hypnosis or relaxation with

Fear of flying.......
The warmer temperatures over the last week have made me realise how much better a bit of sunshine makes me feel (although it's a return to the hat, scarf and three pairs of gloves this weekend!). Every winter I feel the need to escape from this country to somewhere warm where I would be able to ditch

I had my
hydrotherapy
appointment today at 1 p.m which I was really looking forward to. I also wanted to go to the local coffee morning in the village, as I am trying to get to talk to locals about our farm.

Pain management and hypnosis - have you tried it?
Hi I used to practice self hypnosis and I've started again today after a long gap of several years. It's good for reducing muscle spasm and makes me feel less anxious and a bit happier. There seems to be lots of evidence about the use of hypnosis and pain management, but hypnosis is not used much

Some thoughts on flares
Hydrotherapy
is the complementary therapy with the best level of evidence behind it for its use as treatment for Fibro. I certainly find warm baths and showers helpful for pain, especially I incorporate some stretches with time in the water. 5.
