Dealing with malaria and mosquito's on holiday
Hi Everyone. My husband has CLL and finished FCR treatment 21/2 years ago. So far all is good - bloods normal WBC in normal range and stable. We are now considering a holiday in India (Goa) and I have maybe unwisely chosen a hotel with no aircon so I am worried about the risk of mosquito borne disease

Hello all. My name is Mega. Short for Megapodius. Mega Fauna, big feet. Ha. Name just appealed to me somehow. Down to business then. Fibromyalgia symptoms seemed to change mid 2016 after not much change for decades. There's lots more backstory but let's save that for later. So I am now full of

I Seem To Have 90% Cured Myself After Having Asthma/Eczema From Birth 47yrs Ago. The last 10% I think Is In My Mind.
It's my first post and I don't write here lightly, I have been pondering posting for some time but wanted to see if what was happening to me was was not a short term effect. I do not want to create false hope, I am certainly no medical professional and you should read what I write only as purely my own

Anyone here self-medicating with Hydrocortisone? Would like to hear about your experiences.
Hi, I am thinking of doing this for a while now but somehow never had a courage. I think that I finally made up my mind to do it. But I would like to hear first from people who are doing the same. Any info would be useful. Thanks.

Osteoporosis & Bad Teeth Affected by T3 & T4, not low TSH
Another good osteoporosis article. We all agree that TSH alone is not a good indicator of thyroid levels, but high OR low levels of T3 and/or T4 do have an effect. Too much T3 can raise SHBG, which can negatively affect bone health. Too much T4, without T3, can also have a negative effect. And for

Advice?
Hi, These small red spots stared to appear around 2 to 3 weeks ago now. I was given hydrocortisone cream by a pharmacist and have now tried two different strengths (0.1% and 1%) and both have been ineffective. My back (pictured) is the worst affected area but the tops of my legs, arms and top of my

Weaning off Hydrocortisone
I've been on HC for nearly 3 years now. I did manage to wean from 25mg to 10 back in May but had a bereavement and ended up crashing so had to go back up. Just lately though I've have trouble sleeping. (waking at 2am and not getting back to sleep) I've done lots of research and from how my body feels

Hydrocortisone for adrenal fatigue
Anyone on or used hydrocortisone for adrenals? I'm on 20 mcg t3 and using 10 mg HC in morning and 5 mg noon. My symptoms seem to be worse last week or so. Dr slowly increased the HC over last 6-7 weeks. My meds are slow release compounds. I have hashi and Lyme diagnoses. Dr ran labs today to see what

Help with Phimosis.
As long as I can remember I've never been able to retract my foreskin at all, both while flaccid and erect, I'm currently 16 and it's really affecting me mentally. I'm incapable of seeing a doctor as my self confidence is pretty much zero. I'm just wondering if there's anything I can do at all, I've
