Hydrocortisone cream and foreskin
Hello, I went to the doctors today regarding a tight band of skin on my foreskin, I can retract it but I can visually see this tight band of skin. The doctor has prescribed me hydrocortisone cream but didn't really explain how to use it... Do I put it on the inside and outside then stretch straight away

After sedation , maximum time taken to be normal ???
Hi team, My mom who is 43yrs old affected with severe fever last one week. Tested for dengue, malaria, H1N1 but everything shows negative. But she is not able to maintain her spo2 level and because of that now she is ventilator support. My question is sedation has been stopped yesterday morning around

Great Doctor, diagnoses possibly!?
Hi everyone!! What started out as a terrible day from pain with mouth ulcers and genital ulcers ended up fantastic. I was able to get the afternoon off of work, and head to the doctor, I was waiting for test results to see if I had any stds or anything. Nothing showed up besides some high inflammatory

Update on rash 😬
Finally had gp appointment today . I had 3 issues to discuss , the rash , pain and swelling in joints , occipital pain and headaches. The rash had actually died down a bit over week though still itchy , he thinks it is due to photosensitivity as rash is on arms and stops at tee shirt line , a new problem

Eczema in kids
My LO is 17 months old. He has eczema in several parts of his arms and legs . He was given hydrocortisone 1% when we took him to the GP. After using the cream for a week, the condition gets better but it keeps getting worse if I don’t use the cream. I am very concerned about frequent use of hydrocortisone

Live vaccines
Hi all. I’m Considering a holiday tour for hubbys special birthday but destinations likely require live vaccinations eg yellow fever, typhoid etc. I have lupus and APS with medication including methotrexate and rituximab. I’m waiting to hear back about this from rheumatologist but wondered if others

Pituitary tumour update.
Hi all, I'm still here! I had the surgery to remove the large tumour on my pituitary. I am now 16 days post op and according to my surgeon, doing very well. The tumour was benign as 99% of them are. I have ACTH short test on Tues to see if my adrenals show any signs of working. Also more bloods to see

Prednisone vs hydrocortisone
I would very much like to hear your experiences of hydrocortisone. It seems like everyone on steroids is on predisone. Have understood that hydrocortisone has less side effects and is more a " normal" steroid for your body.

What I wish I had known (and what I have learnt through trial and error!)
Asthma is a learning curve so here’s what I wish I had known from the beginning! In no particular order: 1. Asthma is different for everyone. Obvious now, but starting out to me asthma was asthma - a blue pump fixed it and a brown pump prevented it. Now I know all the different types and severity, and

Seriously can my body just stop!
If it’s not one thing it’s a-bloody-nother In hospital because of asthma and infection. Get to ward and it seems ok tho can’t sleep cause of drugs and the fact my infection seems to have travelled to my sinuses too 🤧😣. At 4.30am my body decide that nows the ideal time to swell up my lips, give me hives

The chaos of an understaffed over-run hospital
Hi I have the utmost respect for my local hospital staff (docs and nurses) 😊 and the biggest ball of anger to the nhs funding cuts from the government 😤. For 5 hours yesterday evening I witnessed staff having to cover too many patients, leading to delays and misplaced notes, causing stressed staff

Red itchy mark with lump underneath
Hi... I've had a round itchy mark on my chest now for 6 weeks. I've tried fungal and steroid cream but nothing seems to clear it up. If you feel underneath it there is a noticeable lumpy texture not fixed like a stone but it's lumpy in texture. The steroid cream stopped the itching but no improvement

Anyone take Greek HC (IFET)?
I would like to hear from anyone who takes Greek hydrocortisone called I.F.E.T on the box. I want to know if it is generally as good as the brand Cortef which I am unable to find. Thanks in advance.
