Seen tthe Oncologist My lump has grown it's now 22mm so the tamoxifen wasn't doing its work. So we are going to try another drug called anastrozole, for two months then back to the Oncologist to see if it worked if it hasn't then look at other options. The tamoxifen has been stopped.

My 84 year old mother was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer a few years ago. It's all over her bones, spine, pelvis etc.Ibrance worked great for a couple of years but then marker numbers started going up. After a year or so of numbers rising, Dr finally switched her to Orserdu. Unfortunately,

I am BRAC2 positive with a G9 and mets to lungs. Started ADT March 23, two cycles of chemo last fall, currently on Nubeqa and Orgavix. Last PSA was .1. Does HBOT stimulate cancerous tissue?
I’m considering HBOT for cystitis and proctitis 11 months after HDR Brachyboost with pelvic SBRT. Just finished 1 year ADT. Here’s my concern. 11 months later, I know my cancerous cells are still in the process of dying and not being able to divide anymore. The idea of HBOT is to increase certain

Tumor Marker (CEA)
Hello, My CEA jumped from 86.9 in January to 359 now. Is this the tumor marker that isn’t necessarily specific to breast cancer and can have all sorts of things cause it to be elevated? For example, I have some neuropathy and swelling in my legs and I know TMs can be affected by inflammation. Doxil

New Approach to Resistance
A male neurobiologist, with metastatic breast cancer who studies genetics, developed a new idea to deal with treatment resistance based on the same way Farmers protect their fields from pests. Farmers rotate the pesticide chemicals they use on their fields so that they are never chronically spraying

Continued Journey
Day +14: I am presently unhooked from my medication pole. It is a great feeling to be able to be more mobile around my “suite”. Accommodations here quite nice considering what most hospital rooms are like. it has been a rough go with a certain amount of nausea, lack of energy, and G.I. situations

GRATEFUL
Went to appointment with Radiation Oncologist at Emory St. Joseph's Winship Cancer Center - Dr. Bruce Hershatter. Good guy, no BS, straight shooter. He actually drew it out on a sheet of paper (front & back, back was worse) for me and talked me and my friend through the options (1) and pretty much

Anyone had an increase in bone/joint pain after being on Ibrance and Letrozole for a few years?
I was diagnosed Metastatic BC with a lot of bone mets back in June 2022. The Letrozole and Ibrance eliminated the visible bone mets and pain was better. Last scans still show no progression and those were just a month ago or so. The last few weeks I've had terrible pain in my knees, left shin, and
