Eat Real Food and Protect Your Microbiome
I don't have the answers, but the questions are worth looking at. My High School education tells me that PD might start in the gut. This makes sense to me. Therefore, gut inflammation is probably bad, and probably leads to intestinal permeability (leaky gut). And the gut bone is connected to the brain

How do I cope with a pain that no one believes is real?
I hope it is okay to post this here; I just feel totally consumed by my pain at the moment, and lost, as well as alone, in the journey of figuring it out. It all started 7 years ago, when I was 18- a nagging sharp pain started at the top of my abdomen, between my ribs, which lasted a few days. One morning

constipation after diverticular flare up
Last month I had 3 flare ups and everytime I had such severe diarrohea that I completely emptied my bowel. I now am constipated. I have been constipated my whole life, nothing helps, fibre included, and taking senna ends up with crippling pain. I have discovered Lactulose and find that this works

Help! I'm on the never-ending train of being diagnosed then undiagnosed with microscopic colitis, diverticulitis and severe BAM
Thank you firstly for reading my article, if you have knowledge to share then thank you for your persistent research and patience. In 2019 I was diagnosed with Microscopic colitis, in 2020 my Gp undiagnosed me as she couldn't see it on the colonoscopy pictures. I'm not educated to any Drs level but is

I'm post-menopausal and a probable endo was found as an incidental. I have no pain or anything so should I have surgery anyway?
I wouldn't have had any idea that I had an issue unless it happened to be found as an incidental on a CT scan. I don't have any pain and the only reason I did have pain is because it was diverticulitis. In the past year I've started to, on occasion when I get up in the middle of the night, have a bit

Bladder Cancer Update and More. UPDATE.
Back in January I was diagnosed with problems with my spine as below. "x rays shows OA throughout loss lumbar lordosis" I posted at the time being my spine is affected, would that affect me being able to have a spinal (Epidural) when I have a Cystoscopy? I said at the time I would consult my GP and

Fulvestrant side effects and updates
After 4yrs of silence and no medications against my oncologist advice, my breast cancer is back. Atleast I was spared from horrible side effects for those times. My 2023 January Ct scan showed mets again in mu lungs, liver and some other areas. It progressed slowly as I was going through so much financial

Vitamin B supplements
I recently posted my iron test results which were on the high side and therefore I didn't need to supplement and if possible I should try to bring my levels down. I am about to start taking Vitamin B supplements based on a Blue Horizon thyroid test. My question is - will B supplements increase my iron

PAIN ALONG PELVIC AREA. Diverticular or IBS C
I was diagnosed with Diverticulitis after having Colonoscopy many years ago. This has been manageable until the last 4 to 5 years. I started to have constant diarrhoea, more like IBS symptoms. No Doctor has ever diagnosed IBS but after a Sigmoidoscopy 3 years ago it was confirmed that it was severe Diverticulitis

My situation
Hello, I'm a 56 yr old male living in the UK. I'm overweight but I'm a vegetarian, don't smoke and hardly drink alcohol. Last year after going to the doctors with stomach and bowel issues, I had a colonoscopy which was clear. I also had blood tests, and early this year a poo test, which were so OK.

Vitamin B12
In addition to my daily Thyroxine dose of 100mcg I have been prescribed Vit B12, 4000 mcg per day by my Endo. The chemist has dispensed Cyanocominn which I understand is a synthetic Vit B preparation and I am led to believe not a good idea to take. Should I insist the chemist dispenses only natural

Blood tests MMA, B12
A conundrum about blood tests: I know that once substituting B12 blood levels are not reliable and that MMS should be tested instead. But if not substituting B12: do high B12 levels mean that there is no deficiency or should MMS and Homocysteine always be the preferred values? (My husband has blood
